I’m tired of this “ban everything” mentality. Snake eyes is broken, and we’re talking about ghost sister? Either way, Konami will do what Konami does.
Exactly why ban a card that sort of checks the top broken decks? It is forcing players to rethink hey I'm Summoning too much giving the other player a huge lp advantage cause they use GS. And the GS player is thinking hell ahead pull out 8+ monsters pay the price buddy. All it really is its players are getting prissy that they are losing to GS.
He's just click baiting I'm sure but I do agree there are more problematic cards

We can talk about both though. Both are problematic, though I agree Snake Eyes is significantly more so and for far too long now.

This card counters a lot of toxic stuff like Shifter, Tenpai Dragon, Gimmick puppet ftk, burn effects in timeout, Protos. It’s great to have it in the game.
Pay2win players are mad at cheap cards that can beat 1k dollar decks
Who do you think is winning with Spooky Dogwood? The decks that can win game 1 or 2 while having room for over a dozen hand traps or everyone else that never even reaches time without being bodied in games 1 and 2?

Who will summon other than 0/0 stat monsters when you can go into phantom of yubels and pass? And because of that you halve opps Lifepoints.
@@christianosantiagorivera3560Cause 2 phantom is a bad endboard that the opponent can easily dodge, and Yubel is capable of OTKing from 8k so the 4k damage isn't as high value as actually putting up a board. At the end of the day it's still by far the best deck to counter dogwood because most of the deck has 0 atk, and the extea deck combos will only add ~7k including Varudras

I hate how we all know the format is flawed but we jump at every single card that does something once and we say “yep, shadow realm” like yeah that’s been the issue the whole time.
If snake eyes won we’d still hear everyone complaining about how an emergency banlist was needed weeks ago
Even online simulators, you can still side it cause of FTK or OTK decks just so you can have an extra turn.

Just like Maxx "C" and people still want that card to stay on the banlist. Our format is so combo reliant that any card that poses a threat to combo players it has to be banned.

Also spooky dogwood is good handtrap this format ensuring to survive vs tenpai, gimmick puppet ftk and can help decks like aromage but new exodia aswell in turning life points in resource to have potential otk on board and mitigate millenium life points cost effs.
Maybe rise in popularity of this card makes ancient leaf viable draw power.
Pretty sure you die under sister vs tenpai since trident deals 18k dmg but only gives you 3k lifepoints and they make no unnecessary summons
Imo, there are so many other problematic cards than spooky dog water so it shouldn't be banned
I love spooky Dogwood, it helps Vaalmonica pop off faster on turn 2/3

I remember people crying to ban Dweller in Tear format… lunacy.
I remember buying 2 copies of Ghost Sister to main right when I saw the new Millennium archetype announced, more as a tech choice than anything else. At that moment, everyone still thought it was garbage. Now, a couple month later, it suddenly needs to be banned because it is helping weaker decks compete against the meta? What a joke. If anything, MORE cards like Ghost Sister need to be printed to make players re-evaluate their gameplay, since it has very obviously stagnated into a rut of "go first and full combo or lose" over the past few years.

Konami established a very interactive app in Neuron. They could implement a turn timer that :
1. When time is called whoever used the most time loses.
2. Time out feature where each player is alotted x amount of time per turn. Then their turn ends when it's used up.
This an idea I am just now coming up with but potentially a master rule that only allows x amount of actions per turn. This seems like an intuitive progression as more and more archetypes do more on the opponents turn.
I am aware that there are issues with these ideas. Just trying to conceptualize solutions for discussion.
For a change of time rules it could be either like Chess or Master duel, first blood or more cards in deck.

How about using a clock like we do in chess. 20 minutes per person for a match and pause the clock for siding and judge calls and get rid of time burn cards. Thoughts anyone??
It would make 0 sense since you'd be tapping on the chess timer every single time you'd ask your opponent for a response, which would make his timer go down even if he told you he had no response. The issue with this system is that your chess timer is controlled by your opponent, which makes sense in a game like chess where there's only 1 move per turn, but not in yugioh where asking for a response could take time
@@yacine656It would also become a PR nightmare. The TCG is rated kids and up. Between kids and individuals with disabilities, implementing chess timers would hurt their bottom line and public image.

I've always wondered why people didn't play this card. When time runs out it goes the duelist with the most life points.

Cards that counter certain strategies are only good as long as the strategies they counter are strong, so it goes, so it goes.
Wow just Ban everything, this card just takes advantage of time rules, in any case there are worst things in the meta. If this hand trap has to go the so does Nibiru, Ash Blossom, Veiler etc. they area all designed to punish an aspect of the game, just so happens dog wood punishes over extending on combos while exploiting time rules, and of that’s a problem then change the rules, or do I need to remind you about what happed with victory Dragon and surrender rules.

How about instead of time rule change we change how many games are won in a match?
For example 2-0 is more worth than 2-1 ?

After activiting dogwood, can you interrupt you opponent every summon to confirm how much atk their monster has, inevitably burning a few extra seconds per summon or would you get called for slow playing on that?

Depends on the monster and how many times you do it. If it has a variable ATK and/or continuous buffs from other cards I wouldn't penalize for slow play, but if you're just doing it to be an ass then yeah, you might get charged with a game loss.

Speaking of... I just made a Qadar Time Thief Deck in Master Duel that semi-Mills the opponent (Redoer & Quartet) and can burn for 3-4K on the opponent's STANDBY PHASE ( with a side of Volcanic Scattershot for flavor)
