I think baby showers are better smaller even before COVID. Only the important people should be there always.
When your mom googled "adult baby nursery", I yelled "OH NO". Your poor innocent mama's eyes. 😂
Haha! I thought the same thing... I saw and read "adult nursery ideas" then thought, "Wait. I don't think..." video interruption... And then Leigh Anne's announcement! Hahaha! Leigh Ann and her mom were too funny! As T-shirts taught us: "Stay Calm and Keep Shopping" Well, that's what mine would say. :)

It made me emotional thinking about how your family gatherings are going to change. From the excitement among adults now to that hushed magic of bringing a newborn into the house. And then progressively more chaotic and joyful and exhausting :) It's going to be so different, and so much fun.
we're all so excited that by Thanksgiving this year we'll have two new little turkeys! 🥰
@@leighannsays Yes! And let's not even get started on Christmas. My oldest was 3 and half this last Christmas and my heart exploded over and over at how exciting and joyous it all was. And will only keep getting better! Delighted for you all.

Your Mom and Dad must be over the moon with excitement, two new grand babies on the way! What a fun time for your family! My first two nieces were six months apart and it was such a fun and exciting time! Now they are both in college! So nice seeing sweet Franny!

The mirror really isn't as bad as you would think. I didn't have to move my mirror at all in order to see my son's mirror. I see him perfect enough. The only time it doesn't work at all is when it's dark out.
I agree, you really don't have to move your rearview mirror at all to see the baby and if you are concerned about the night time you can quickly put on the overhead light to check on your baby. I really wouldn't invest in an expensive camera. I think that video could be a bigger distraction than it is worth having been through it twice now.
@@katiebugkm yeah the light is a good idea just for a quick check! I agree having a camera screen might be distracting. I look in my rearview so often while driving normally, and it only takes an extra little glance to also check the baby at the same time
Completely agree. The rear view mirror is fully sufficient for a quick check, especially since you’re always checking that mirror while driving anyway. I really think an extra screen up front is more of a distraction and driving risk. 99/100 times baby is doing exactly what you think - sleeping, looking around, crying, etc. and any concerning issue is detected in a glance. A separate camera and screen is not going to safely give you anymore information than a glance in the rear view mirror. 😉
Totally agree, I’ve used a mirror for 12 months with my daughter and it works perfectly. I find cameras in the car much more distracting than a mirror, hence why I can’t follow a sat nav picture while driving 😂😂
I started watching your videos when my husband and I decided to move on to IVF in our own infertility journey, I've lived watching your progress! We just had our first frozen embryo transfer yesterday and I'm hoping and praying we get to be as blessed as you guys! So happy for all of you ❤

So....are we having a virtual baby shower? I can't remember the last time I was this excited for something I was not a part of. For years you've brought happiness to my life...and especially the last year. I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting to celebrate.

❤️ What a perfect shower!!! Pregnancy suits Mary. She’s not only glowing but looks sooooo happy! Leigh Ann, tell Mary that she want’s that little one to be as big as possible. The big ones tend to sleep better... and that’s a huge blessing!
I legitimately never felt like I needed the mirror thing in the car. I was never comfortable with something being strapped to the seat in front of the baby that could be a projectile in a crash!
that's a really good point.
Was going to say the same! We learned in a car seat safety class that it’s best to put nothing in the back seat with the baby for this reason.

Congratulations to the Grandparents it's the best to have Grandchildren I have 6of my own,I see my grown kids in them,even myself and their own special,unique,adorable,precious,lil humans that don't wanna go home with their parents(they wanna stay at Nana and Popi's and we love it..The days are long but the years are short enjoy this time❤️❤️❤️

What beautiful baby shower! Mary looked so beautiful and glowing in her dress. It was so pretty. She looks so happy too - you both do! Everything was so thought out and absolutely adorable ! I need to know if Grant won that “Guess the Mess” game! How cute of a game that was also. Luna is just too sweet - I can eat her up lol. That face and her eyes are everything! Such a nice baby shower for your sister. Loved all the decorations and the food, etc.. Even you and your sisters dresses. When your mom came around the corner on Easter I had to laugh at the look on her face and you saying "I forgot how short it was!" LOL LUNA is so adorable. I'm with her. Balloons are scary. Creeping around and then you never know when they might POP. Great video.

In Scotland, when someone pops, its when they've given birth, and when they start to look pregnant we say they are showing 😁
In Louisiana we say the same 😜.
In Oregon we say the same!
That’s what we say in Wisconsin too
I Ontario, Canada, we use popped in both ways! Context is everything. "Wow, you've really popped since the last time I saw you!" vs "It looks like you're about to pop!"

I'm glad Grant gets to go to appointments with you! My husband still has to wait in the car during mine, its so hard sometimes
I'm so sorry. he's really only been able to come to about two appointments so far out of the 100 I've had in the last year including IVF and IUIs 😩
@@leighannsays Its totally okay :), we are allowed to FaceTime which does help a lot! But I'm still super happy you get to have him there to experience everything with you. Here's hoping things get back to normal sooner rather than later!

@@leighannsays lol right? 🤣 also my cat is terrified of mylar balloons. He is turning 6 tomorrow and I think the first time he ever saw them was around eight months and from the first time through today I can't even have them in the house. If he knows they're in another room he won't even go in the same side of the house that they are. It's so crazy what they must be thinking!

that's so sweet of you to say but they haven't been done yet sadly. there have been long wait times for people to get work done and though they got everything patched up a long time ago they still have a long way to go to fix the damage 😩

I added a camera to my Amazon list for baby 2 but realized how much my toddler loves looking at me too. Sticking with the mirror personally. You don’t move the rear view mirror you move the babies mirror. The shower was so cute 🥰 I hope they throw you one too!

Big advocate for a mirror here! Mine is big enough that you don't move your rearview and the reason I got it was so my son could see me. He started screaming everytime we got in the car at 3 months. The mirror stopped that because he no longer had the separation anxiety and could see me. It's just a bonus I can see him too!
