Good morning David. I own an older radioactive Super Takumar 50mm f1.4 lens and it’s the one which sent me down the rabbit hole of vintage lenses. I absolutely love this beauty. I spent 50$ for it and although that itself isn’t that much, but where it’s lead me starts to add up because I’m not done yet. lol. I bought this for its claimed beautiful bokeh wide open. The trouble began when I stopped it down and discovered it’s a beast. It never disappoints. It’s a joy to use and has to be one of the nicest feeling lenses I’ve ever touched and used. Anyone considering one of these should absolutely do it. Seeing this review peaked my interest and hearing your take on this lens was cool. Thanks for sharing!

David I have a number of 50mm Pentax K mount lenses 50 mm 1.8, 50mm 2.0 , 55mm 1.8 all are M glass so manuel focus. The Pentax 50mm 2.0 is probably the least desirable of the group as the lens needs to be opened up a couple of steps for it to perform

Interesting comment in your video about image stabilization in your camera and vintage lenses. I will have to look into that on the Z8

I think it works like that with Nikon too, I am pretty sure my Z6 had to be set that way.

Thanks for taking us on your leisurely photo walk! Somewhere you said "it doesn't always have to be 100% content creation, sometimes just enjoy the moment". Your genuine attitude shows through your videos & editing and it's really very nice and pleasant to watch for me! A while ago you said you were going to stop making videos and concentrate on something else. I'm glad you're back 😊 i appreciate all the edit work you put into it! ❤ Take care!

    Dear David,
The visitors center of Chattanooga TN called.
They figured they owe you $15,897.00 for your Public Relations and Tourism advertising. You have shown some of
the most beautiful images of Chattanooga TN encouraging visitors, like me a Yankee, from up north
to spend time there as a photo destination.

Love all the talk about vintage lenses. When I grow up I may try Leica. :). This is week 3 without a video on my channel. Still looking for my mojo. It escaped. LOL

That lens looks really nice on that camera. I really enjoy the Takumar I have. Still looking for a good used 28 mm. I am the king of forgetting things in my car or at home. Unfortunately when I forget things at home I am usually halfway to work and don’t want to turn around. 😂

I have a 28mm and it is one of my all time favorite lenses that is almost always in the camera bag at this point. it is something that I could recommend almost all the time to everyone.

I haven't used my DJI wireless mic yet with the Osmo Action 4, guess I need to check , check, check that out.

Mine are the Fulaim wireless mics that I had done the review on last year. They are good mics, but they are better suited to indoor use where people are not normally as loud so the audio is better mitigated. I dont know the bit rate for these mics but I am guess it is not 32 bit float as it will clip the audio if you are not careful.

@@davidsaylors we have some older Godox MoveLink wireless Mics from some yrs back that we use to mic up two people. I stepped on the GAS because on sale and picked up the Zoom F3 field recorder and also a shot gun mic by Zoom last year that are both 32 bit float for some of these events and for when we do more hybrid stuff instead of just stills but haven't gotten too proficient yet. I'm hoping this Osmo action 4 setup works for my vlogs, wife hi-jacked the Osmo pocket 2 that I had...these phones now though with some of these channels is all that their rockin' and footage looks good...LOL. Of course I'm still holding on to the old Iphone SE.
That old Glass is cool stuff, I still got all my legacy Nikon lenses but we are fully integrated with mirrorless now. I'm surprised at the prices on the older glass is still holding it's own. Keep em' coming David.
