How can you say that when no one living has heard any of the great ones? There is only the primitive recordings of Moreschi. Maniaci uses more vibrato like a modern singer, sounding like a mezzo, in fact in places the vibrato is a little too much.
Maybe, in the nearest future there will be some cure that will prevent boys of voise changing...because this is awsome. After Maniaci I don't want even to hear contratenors' flat falsetto....He's modern Farinelly.
So happy that I stumbled onto this. His voice is pure majic. I hope to find more recordings than the Mayerbeer. This aria is so charming.
Beautiful aria. Just beautiful.
Many thanks for the suggestion. I'll be uploading a few more sections as soon as I have time.
I love his voice! Gah!

You're welcome. Thank you for the feedback.
He's way better than a castrato or endocrine countertenor. He's got a lot more tonal richness; those guys sounded like ringtones.
the love
I've uploaded the section you suggested.
ZDO RO VO! AV Merci
Does anybody know where to find the score for this aria or this version of the opera? The ones on Imslp don't have any of Armando's arias.
Do you have the original text of this aria?... Please =)
