Excellent car audio in the right car can sound better than a high end home hifi. I used to sell posh av systems and hifi and we sold Nordost cables which were so expensive but damn good , but we went out with the boss of Nordost one night and he insisted that his car audio system was his dream hifi set up and sounded better than any set up because of the car acoustics and size.
Can we expect Tim to do another system soon? He does have a few other keepers. If so don't let him use the mids as rear fill and sacrifice the imaging this time.
I don't personally think a whole lot of Shmee but you can't deny the his extensive and long hands on experience with a wide range of cars, the ones he owns and ones he gets his hands on through being inside the industry. More than 99.9% of people and that certainly includes you.
The best sound system is made by Rolls Royce Motor Cars. It's called Bespoke Audio and puts out 23,400 watts from 13 amplifiers and 18 speakers! Thank you. Stuart
More speakers means worse sound. Unless your watching a movie. Ever see high end home studios with 18 speakers, no. They have 2, possibly 2 and a sub, max. And 23k watts, sure. That would be over a 2000amp current draw if they were 98% efficient, which nothing is. Fake, fake, and more fake false made up propaganda.
@@jasonb1750 A vehicle is not a home. They are usually acoustical nightmares with no central sitting/listening position. Does a vehicle need 20 or 30 speakers? Probably not, but saying two because someone with McIntosh separates has two in their listening room is daft.
Why would you sit him in the passenger seat when it probably was EQ'd from the drivers seat? A massive part of the experience is the sound staging. How do you do you tuning?
@CambridgeCarAudio if he is saying the sound is coming from all around him, it doesn't sound like it's set up for the passenger seat. Im a little perplexed as to why would you set it up for the passenger seat in the first place?
I wanted to Buy an Alpine P1 ,They were around about $37,000 . They made only a few hundred world wide.He said my car was not suitable ,mentioned some thing about a tesla ? they may have been ,,made for ?.It is difficult to hear a car stereo with clarity and good clear base. My saying that is my friends buy and build their own on some tracks sound ok but ?

I used to install in FL while in the service as a 2nd job, loved it!! Always make sure I have a nice system in my cars now!
