People forget that the cowboys also kind of had a pretty bad end to the season. They got crushed by the Bills, then lost to the dolphins (only playoff team they beat), barely beat the Lions and probably shouldn't have. Then finished with an easy one with the commanders. But like not a lot of confidence going into the playoffs

@@Carters2Cents Nope. everyone played terrible, especially the defense, as they and the whole team were over-confident-being the number 2 seed and focused on a winning streak-and not focused. They all got surprised by a young team they all took for granted and were out coached and skeemed. Anybody who blames Dak alone for last year's lost, is a hater, blind as a bat, or trolling. Dak played well the second half; the defense did not play well the whole game-including the second half.

What’s your point? We’re living in the now and Dak has contributed to Dallas failures over the last 10 years. Dak and his agent are bent on resetting the market and the Jones have their price for what they want to pay the stat padder. Trust and believe during these negotiations the Jones tries to offer a extension but Daks to expensive. They let Dak fleece him the first contract when he told the Jones that 30 million a year is not good enough and Jerry admitted that he over payed Dak and don’t really want him. They not letting Dak get them twice

The defense couldn’t stop the run and for some ridiculous reason Dan Quinn was playing a zone defense that hadn’t been featured all year long! Yes Dak threw 2 picks but he also helped put 32 on the board without his main weapon Lamb! GB had a better game plan and the Dallas Defense knew it by halftime and Quinn gave up knowing he’s gonna get a Head Coaching job in Washington!

Cowboys and fans are just frustrated, so just when their quarterback is aging toward prime quarterback years, and when they might be able to bring in a coach in the caliber of Bill Belichick, they want to get rid of him. For more on this, from a Cowboys fan pov, there's a good amount of mystique about the number 88, for the team, for Ceedee, he's a young player, clearly ascending and carrying the torch for that figure in regards to having the guy the fanbase can gravitate to. It's been Dak and Zeke for a long time. Ware and Dez, the previous #88 that the fans still love to this day, and now you have two guys in Micah and Ceedee that are going to become the fan favorites for the team for years to come now. Probably a smart off-the-field investment, but leaving dak in limbo doesn't bode well for on-the-field stability and results for the next several years.
