Installing a rubber cable hook stopper (winch line saver) on an ATV winch

  • This time I installed a rubber winch line stopper. After installing the plow, I noticed the end of the winch line was wearing away. I hope this will prevent future damage.

    Sure you have figured it out but there is a winch release on the side of the winch you can turn to allow you to pull the cable out by hand then turn it back when you wanna use the actual winch motor

      You can definitely pull right through this with the winch but it will at least give some stopping point for reference.

    me personally, i have my winch hook connected higher up to my front bull bar just incase i need to crawl over handlebars and reach for it.... dont wanna be dancing around in the mud! just dont accidentally hit the winch in button

    Do you notice any noises coming from the winch hook ratcheting against the frame when you’re riding it?

      I do not notice any noise coming from there.

    i don't like that.. i don't know where you are using your atv but for work... absolutly not..i rather cliping it to the rack..
