I was dying when you said “maybe that is something you should talk about with your therapist.” I legitimately talked to my therapist about crocheting bringing out unhealthy perfectionist tendencies yesterday 😂 It was comforting knowing that I’m not alone in that 😅 “Our hobbies shouldn’t stress us out” should be tattooed on my arm. Really love your channel!

I can highly recomend learning to put in lifelines! I am one of those who cant really overlook mistakes so i have to rip back and frog my knitting when I make mistakes (which happen alot!). By learning lifelines I don’t have to start the project all over again when I make mistakes!

I agree with every single point you made, especially regarding the trends! My first sweater was the weekender, and I don't think I would have made it if it wasn't plastered all over the gram lol.

It definitely makes more of an impact than you would think! My internal dialogue over single ply chunky sweaters has been intense.

SO many great points Mandy! When I was first starting out, I wish I knew that not every ball of yarn is the same yardage! It took me a few projects to realize that haha!
Very Pink Knits is the BEST knitting tutor on TH-cam in my opinion! You're so right that her video are to the point, but what I also like about her is that her instructions are at a good pace for me -- there are so many tutorials out there that are WAY too slow.
We all have different designers and patterns that we're interested in. I'm actually not a Jessie Maed fan even though she's super popular and I see her patterns all over Instagram. My favourite beginner-friendly designer is Knitatude -- her designs are so classic and have easy to follow instructions.

The slow mo Very Pink Knits tutorials have saved my life a few times! I actually just bought a Knitatude pattern during her birthday sale! Excited to try out another designer.

“Grandmas sweet potato vegan chili” made me laugh out loud.

I tend to have offbeat/alt style in general, but even I find myself falling victim to mere exposure effect when I constantly hear Internet Knitters gush over My Favorite Things Knitwear and Petite Knit. Like, no. No. Stop. I don't genuinely "want to make those patterns, but in black." Luckily I always catch myself before making the yarn purchase!
