Hey Mama❤ Im new to your channel and I’ve gotta tell you, I fell in love with your vlogs. Its soothing and realistic to watch and I learned a few recipes also so thanks for that!
Sydney is so big! I rmr when she was 2 or 3 and you were dealing with meltdowns lol. I went back to those videos when my daughter was in the same phase and now shes 5😅 Time is a thief...don't blink 🥺
My favorite tradition we did when I was a kid was we got to open up one gift on Christmas eve, we got new pjs to wear Christmas eve, baking cookies, homemade cinnamon raisin bread, having the whole family go to my grandparents house for Christmas dinner. Going to hershey park for the Christmas lights. Watching all the Christmas movies.
So cute! Looking forward to Vlogmas:) A couple of traditions in our house, we buy a new ornament every year..it's always fun remembering each ornament as we decorate the tree and I plan on dividing them up amongst my two kids when they are older for their own trees one day! We also were gifted a Marvel advent calendar when my son was a toddler, and every night leading up to Christmas we read a comic book and now my son can help read them to us!
Oh the ornament thing is one of Sydney’s favorites! Her great grandmother gets her one each year & she just LOVES it. A perfect tradition to pass down to your adult children & possibly grand children some day 🥰
At our house Santa’s elves hide candy canes all over the living room while Santa fills the stockings and then they leave a note for my kids inviting them to go on a candy cane hunt.
My daughters are also deciding on traditions for their own families. From their Scandinavian heritage we have explored Lucia Day by making special saffron buns and printable paper leaf and candle crowns. This year I found free printable paper dolls and TH-cam of young girls singing Lucia songs. We might try to make felt crowns with Trader Joe’s garland and some craft felt candles. Another year we gathered near the solstice and made Sun Bread from the book of the same name, made orange pomanders, and put out suet cakes for the birds. We considered making/decorating a Yule log but didn’t really plan it out. This year the grands will go to a live performance and one will get to ice skate. (We rarely get snow near sea level in California). Next year I hope to expose them to making or decorating beeswax candles. Do the things that fill your soul.
I hope you see this message. I made the little bows for my tree first before I put them on the tree so that I could make perfect bows. Then I took an ornament hook and looped it through the back of the bow attached to the tree. They look absolutely perfect! You can’t tie them around the branches they will never look right. I hope that helps!
Does Elf come to your house? My kids love when he comes. We go to church plays, roast marshmallows with hot apple cider. Yes it’s freezing outside but ole the fun! I would do cookies and gingerbread house it’s just so fun!
I love the little bow earrings. Would make a wonderful Christmas present! Also, where did you get the Christmas trees in your entry table. I love them! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
I carried a few traditions on from my childhood. Each year on Christmas Eve, my girls get a new Christmas book, pajamas or a comfy outfit, and an ornament that goes with what's happened that year (if possible) or just a cute one. Thos way, when they grow up and have their first Christmas in their own place, they have ornaments to decorate their tree and remind them of good times throughout their life. We usually go to a Christmas eve service, and go somewhere to look at lights, have Christmas movie nights, read Christmas books. My girls usually help me bake cookies. On Christmas morning, they get their gifts, we usually try to have a nice breakfast and/or dinner on Christmas eve and Christmas. Then on New Year's Eve, we typically play games, watch a movie, eat fun finger foods, I get sparkling juice for the girls to toast in the new year and we watch the countdown on TV. Sometimes we will visit friends and/or family and celebrate the New Year with them. I with we lived closer or at least somewhere like Main. We have Christmas lights we can go see, but I just love all the fun activities and things that your town does. It's so wonderful and special and helps make such amazing memories. It's times like that, that I miss all the fun little stuff you can do when your kids are younger. I have found that my girls have grown out of many things and I just miss all that. I do however, try and do some of those things with my little niece's and nephews when I can.
That tree is Sydney's room is so cute. How fun to do that! 🎄
So much fun to spread the cheer in her room 🥰✨
