- In this video we will be repairing a boat dock ramp. My uncle in-law have come up with a temporary lifting device that we will have to build befor we can ever start on the repair itself. I'm super excited to share this project with you! I love these projects that are out of the ordinary for me. They are challenging and therefor they force me to learn. And I love learnin!!! Come along as we head to Grand Lake in the north east part of Oklahoma and fix an ol boat dock ramp by way of some torch cutting and some stick welding!!!

I work at a dock service and we work in these type of conditions all the time. We have a boat that’s fully rigged up. Building and repairing docks. I never imagined that I would get the opportunity to learn how to weld in such a cool environment. Cool to see it on TH-cam.
I dont know if anyone has told you Austin, but when i watch your videos for some reason it calms my nerves lol. Everything you do b smooth lol cup of coffee C'mon 💪🏼💪🏼🔥 WeldOn brotha💯💯
Thanks for sharing with us Austin, enjoyed the project you took on. The welding worked out for the conditions you were in, the location was questionable though. Won't say anymore on that . Keep up the great work and look the project over before taking it on the next time. Fred.
The skill and calm demeanor you show is badass
I'd say your also a professional video maker. We love watching your videos up here in Oil Country, Alberta Canada. Thanks again for sharing Cowboy 🤠
Awesome job on all the videos! Inspired by you and a few other TH-cam welders to stay my own shop! Keep up the good work 👏
That’s amazing! I’ll definitely keep it up!
Austin cuts the straightest line with a torch, while on a boat dock! haha nice work man
👌👊👊
Sweet vid man! Always enjoy your videos! Iam always learning something!
I'm getting PTSD vibes from this one Austin. I had to reweld a wet aluminum pontoon back together a couple days ago while it was pouring rain outside... That AC kept making me tingle.
You got a bigger set of kahoneys than I do standing on that pipe like that as well...
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏..... Nice job, looks like all of the prep work was a great payoff.
Thanks! I agree! I do not think we would have got it done in the two days that we allotted if we had not prepped the material.
I live in TN but my wife and her family are from Oklahoma, those Daylight Donuts sausage rolls are amazing lol. Me and her both dont prefer donuts for breakfast but i love those sausage rolls
Yaaaaa. I knew y'all could do it 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I love watching his shows
Grand lake is awesome! Too bad you didn’t show the Pensacola dam. It’s one of my favorite parts of the lake! And breaking my jeep at Disney. Fun times
That just the way we were raised to work. Gitter done.
Good ol Grove,Ok. Bout 20 minutes from me!
Jip Austin l also had a similar situation as an appy welding a bridge over head on a raft on a river not easy
Have you ever seen those videos of an entire wedding party or family lined up on the dock and it folding and collapsing? We know the 2 7/8 will still be straight!
Brother. If I didn't have family that can't do without me being close I'd ask to come work as your helper for a cheap price just so I can learn under you.
@Wake_Maker • In all dew respect, if you are a young man, GO FOR IT!!! The only legitimate thing to hold you back would be a family member with serious health needs. If you move off for a year and return, you will have discovered that they can, in fact, make it without you, and you will learn a whole lot about yourself. You are just like most of todays young people, SCARED - E - CAT. Too afraid to get away from Mom and Dad.
I had the prevelage to grow up with a dad that did this type of work. I would not trade that prevelage for all of the tea in China. I went off to diesel school, did a lot of moving around, later went away to aviation school that had a flat market, got into a more stable industrial environment, and retired. Throughout my career, I relied heavily on the work ethic and foundation skills I learned working with my dad.
If you could get Austin to let you work for a year, you should really pay him a very handsome salary just for the prevelage, skills, and not to mention the growing up to learn about yourself.

Damn good comment. I’m always thinking the same thing watching his videos!! Watching from Texas!
You missed your cross bracing on the railing. They are an integral component on gangways. Nice work though
Great work as usual Austin. Is that a piece of radio tower or antenna also running out to the dock?
lol actually no, that is called a stiff arm. Its designed to help keep the dock from moving back and forth as bad
❤❤❤❤❤
Bon Boulo😆😆👍👍
I enjoy watching your content when I got time enjoyed watching the welding bed build
Great video. Did y’all do any rust prevention on the pipes? Just curious 👍👍
I got a 'panic' phone call late last night from a member of my local town board-they've got a bronze statue being inaugurated tomorrow, all the donors present.Clara Barton, she started the red cross.they had the signs set in concrete 90 degrees off-I took the day off and put them right with my Pipepro and LN25
Glad you could help out and save any embarrassment. Clara Barton is not the founder of the Red Cross, that was some Swiss guy. Possibly she founded the USA section?
@@donaldpaterson5827 could be-she did alot with ww1 vets! Dansville NY-the sign that is on the village website I made 20 years ago
if you don,t know the pipe will build up a temper every day it lays out in the sun and it will work harden when they use it in the oil field
I’m still in high school but I have a full time job welding barges but I want to be apart of the pipeline so should I take experience from welding on the barges or become a helper
I would recommend the goal of becoming a helper. If you already have experience building barges that will benefit your skill set to being a helper on the pipeline.
Sounds like somebody's allergies were on fire in this video .
😄👏
I need pipe fitter job how to apply for
a drain hole would have just let water into the pipe up to the level of the water... Capping each end would have been better I think.
Very true
Does this count as off shore welding?😂
Haha you bet. In my book it does 🤣
I live in Zena 100 feet from Grand Lake
