Coming from a Guatemalan, no we don't sit in circles and play drums at night. I hope that those "ex-pats" don't distort anyone's views on who we are as people. That's just white folks being white folks. Love Guatemala and it's history is riddled with them messing it up for the natives so I just hope they respect already established peoples. Liked the video, I'm just weary because our past. Bless

@@fredo226 I am familiar with Washington interference in guatemala. arbenez 1954 e.c.t. but blaming all white folks is a broad brush, I visit every year and hang at the lake. Irish born so I know a 5hing or two about being Colonized. peace.

good question! i will say Antigua is safer because is a rather small town, and the culture here is very peaceful. even tho there's pickpocketing as such, main income of the city is tourism so they try to care them much. BUT Medellin is still relatively safe, just need to be a bit more careful
If you like crime,drugs and putas,then Medellin is for you, if looking for peace,relaxation,nature good coffee & gastronomy don't think twice and head to Antigua.
We are retiring soon. Should we retire in Antigua or Lake Atitlan ?
