So beautiful lecture Swamiji! God gives us the energy to do our acts. However, the way we use that energy is what is our free will. That usage is what creates karma.The karma that we choose creates our destiny, which we can impact in various ways in life.
God has created us to love him - a wonderful point. I learned this primary purpose of life after listening to Swamiji which is for us to develop Love for God. The Free will gives us the power to make choices. We are rotating in this ocean of Maya because of not choosing God with that Free will, once we choose God, we will attain that divine bliss.

Swamiji beautifully states that both one's free will and some portion of sanchit karma or destiny determine the choices we make in life. We can exercise our free will to make choices that will bring us closer to God. We cannot sit back and attribute the outcomes to destiny in the absence of effort. Thank you, Swamiji!

Beautifully explained. Attachment to world and God are two different areas. To go to divine abode, there cannot be attachment in the world. God has given us free will to love him. It is a choice if we want God or 50 million. There can be love where there is a choice. Example of playing cards is very nice. We might be destined to get 1 million. But what we do with it is a free will. Thanks Swamiji.
Swamiji explains very nicely if there is a free will and how one can use it to love God. We are given free will so we can make a choice between God or the world. We need free will to love God.
Praraptha karma or pre-programmed karma shapes not just our situations and circumstances but also our guna or character. Freewill cannot change anything new unless it is our pre-programmed karma. But with freewill we can postpone some of our praraptha karma to our future lives. eg if a person's praraptha karma was to come cross 10 relationship opportunities, then he or she would post pone it to future lives by using freewill. If a person is dharmic then he or she can neutralize some praraptha karma and also not create new karma.(Agama karma) by not having new desires. So, the key to get moksha is 1. Be dharmic to either go through your praraptha karma or neutralize it by not going through it 2. Don't use your freewill to desire for what others have This guru gave the example of lottery in another video saying it depends on our freewill how we spend our money. But if a person's destiny or pre-programmed karma was to go down spending carelessly, then it would happen. Freewill cannot do anything much because our mind can be pre-programmed by our karma. When it comes to certain events like accident, disease, death freewill cannot do anything to change it.
What actions happen to us in our lives is fate or destiny. How we react to it is free will. Our actions and karma shape the future in this life and the ones to follow. Make all choices with the mind surrendered to God!
Very underwhelming and poor lecture to say simple thing like ' destiny and free will are like two wheels of a chariot, if you give more pressure on one you will go around in circles'..... Free will is but more complex than this lecture suggests...
