    Been a fan for a while, bought several albums, your book and have been watching your videos for about a year. I’ve bought several pieces of equipment based solely on your recommendation. You’re a huge inspiration for me. It’s super cool to actually hear you talk about your process. I look forward to hearing more about your work flow. I will definitely be supporting you w/ Patreon!

    uh WOW. i think i just saw the best performance on an octatrack and i've watched tons of videos. thank *YOU* for sharing your knowledge. it will live on forever through others. now i know what to do with my akai force and mpc live that are sitting in the corner. as some others have pointed out (i think on cuckoo's channel), what you just created and performed would either be impossible or would take a huge amount of time in a DAW. i have the elektron's entry level Model Cycles and it changed my life so i ordered the octatrack. so blessed. thanks to you and all the other youtubers i follow on all things elektron.

    Really awesome, Jay!
    Loved seeing your creative process. You have a distinctive sound to your music that's hard for me to describe, but I know it when I hear it. As a drummer who is now casually playing around with synths in my free time, I'm always amazed at what you're able to come up with. I usually end up in the four-bar loop purgatory but would love to continue working and pushing through to make some finished tracks.
    Just checked out your Patreon and supported you on there. Really looking forward to all of it.

    • @JayHosking
      @JayHosking  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it is definitely less than ideal, but part of what I like about hardware is making choices and living with them, rather than being able to change my mind endlessly with (e.g.) a VST. So mostly the mixing hasn’t bothered me too much. Plus, the master out allows for you to do awesome master-level scenes, like the stutter delay. And I think the Octatrack’s compressor does a decent job of gluing everything together in a live setting. And thanks so much!
