Thanks for making this video. I have a couple of Q. 1. What is the spray that you use to seal the repairs? 2. When you laminate on top of the central box , do you sand all the way until you get to the tape or do you cut the fiber to remove the tape. 3. When you do the hot coat on the centre box, when do you remove the tape? Is it once the resin is at gel point or do you wait for it to cure completely? 👍
Thanks for the questions Manuel! 1: I just added it to the description but it's Rust Oleum 280702 American Accents Ultra Cover 2X Spray Paint, Gloss Clear.
2: I sand to the tape and then I'll sand the box too if the box needs to come down to be flush. Since this board has double concave, it's just slightly higher than the surfaces on either side.
3: Since the hot coat is on a pretty flat surface, I find it easier to sand to the tape again. It helps protect the existing resin and get the hot coat really close to an invisible blend.
That third repair was gnarly! That box had seen better days 😂
