1. Gutting a CAT won't affect the milage of the car as the rear O2 sensor is just there to monitor the performance of CAT. The pre CAT O2 is the one that ECU uses to adjust the Air/Fuel ratio.
2. Cars in western countries rarely see a CAT failure because of blockage (which is the primary cause in Pakistan). CATs usually age out but don't get clogged. Guess it has something to do with Engine oils that we use in Pakistan. Note the diesel cars have specific oils that should be used if they are DPF enabled; Same theory should probably apply to CATs too.

Hello Surkhail bhai, mery paas 2007 carburettor cultus h, usky exhaust sy dry bass type awaaz ati h, dholki poori change krwany sy 40% awaaz kam hoi h. But still abhi bhi aati h. Please guide kren ismy catalytic converter hota h? Agar hota h to iska issue h ya phir koi or. Perhaps if its necessary i can visit your workshop too.

CAT wash is one of the names , I have recently purchased during my car tuning.
Why it wasn't cleaned professionally or replaced with a new one. It's there for a purpose right? Please guide us.

Instead of damaging the catalytic converter, wouldn't it be better to simply cutt off the whole catalytic converter assembly and replace it with a straight pipe.
it needs a brain to think like that
Straight piping gases ko convert nai kre gi or zada pollution hogi.
