  • The final stage of the East-West Solent Way, from Lymington, past the marina and into the nature reserve, past ancient salterns dating back to Roman times, to Keyhaven. From Keyhaven one can take the ferry to Hurst Castle, to save a there and back walk along the spit. Once out at the castle, it's less than a mile to the Isle of Wight, with many craft including powerboats navigating the strong currents, with views to The Needles. The walk finishes at the green of the pleasant village of Milford.

That little sailing club in the saltings 2:30... is unique. It was established by Col Tony Hibbert (a hero in WW2) and under the supervision of adults is entirely run by young people. Great to see it still functioning after 60 years.
