Liz and Dave, I really enjoyed your story of the spider crabs, beautifully filmed! I especially liked seeing the smooth rays eating from underneath and close, wonderful!!

It was an amazing experience seeing the action underneath. We just loved the rays- all with different personalities as Pang describes. It’s been so rough down here this winter - very stirred up. Love YOUR work Bill. Thanks Liz

I've never rooted so hard for crabs! At the same time, I'll bet they're tasty.

Evidently not - they taste like mud supposedly.I too was feeling sad for that spider crab that moults at the beginning of the film.I spent 30mins watching it eventually wriggle out of its shell with so much effort only to be gobbled up a few minutes later as it tried to get under the mound.Good for the ray's survival not so good for OUR little crab.

Excellent job on the footage and narration - those crabs almost identical to spider crabs we have in UK waters, pretty much the same behaviour in the summer months when moulting - minus the Rays and warm water though !

this just goes to show that crab is not for human consumption, it's meant for the sea creatures to eat.
