- Protesters at Columbia University broke windows at the Manhattan campus’ Hamilton Hall early Tuesday, hours after the school began suspending students who defied a deadline to leave a pro-Palestinian camp set up to protest the war in Gaza. The Morning Joe panel, including the ADL's Jonathan Greenblatt, join Morning Joe to discuss.

There is a big difference between right, wrong, prevention and compromise. Humas started the war. The Palestinians chose Humas to represent them politically. The Palestinians have been complicit in hiding Humas and their weapons. Palestinians can stop the war by having hostages returned and Humas surrenders. Humas knows they can win the sympathy of uninformed groups by simply sacrificing their own people. Who's really wrong here. Supporting Humas is simply foolish. Humas needs to stop killing its own population. Why should Israel stop trying to remove terrorist preventing them from attacking in the future. Dropping aid into a war zone is prolonging the war and will result in thousands more dead. More pressure and less aid has to be put on the Palestinians to force hostage release and Humas to surrender. This has been a massive mistake on the part of the Palestinians. All the lives lost, nothing accomplished. Why is the world expected to aid this hopeless war. The only reason the university presidents are having “difficulties” deciding what to do is that they don’t want to offend anyone or “be on the wrong side of history.” The decision is easy, enforce the law. The 99% of students who aren’t involved shouldn’t have to suffer because you’re protecting the 1% who are causing anarchy.
Is there not a constitutional right to protest in America? Was that not what the civil rights movement was? Was that not what was going on at the shot heard round the world? America was born from protests. Are students not investing in the universities that they attend? Sounds like they should have a say whether the university is investing in the defense industry or not.

The university presidents are already on the wrong side of history. The students are demanding that the universities divest (Joe & Co. don't want to talk about the demands, but you can see the protest sign at 7:49).
The protesters are inviting the university presidents to set aside avarice and get on the right side of history.

This is about the dumbest and most uninformed assessment of the protests.
that's MSM's job
How about this assessment A bunch of entitled children playing terrorist for a few days before they go home to mommy and daddy's mansion on the hill for summer break...

Elitist? Joe, you're on msnbc. your the elitist LOL
2 things can be true.
Hamas has been designated a terrorist organization except on American campuses and schools. 😅
Students who are not studying show that don’t have any Finals to study for I have too much time on your hands. I think you should probably fine the students causing the extra cost.
This shows you how spoiled me to young people are in this country they have not run the consequences of their actions. This is just like January 6 I guess this is the way our country is going to go now… our Forefathers Would roll over in their graves! Spoiled bratty kids! Grow up and do something productive.
Genocide isn't complicated. 14,000 dead children isn't complicated. Mass starvation isn't complicated. Mass graves aren't complicated. 😊How condescending.
Snot what a genocide is. Try again.
@lautaroaguilar9584 what else could you possibly call it?
@lautaroaguilar9584 would you care to enlighten us with the definition of "genocide" please?

Wow, I thought I was watching Fox News.
I wonder if these students will have their loans forgiven? Anti American and pro Hamas....loan forgivness...good work Joe!
Why are they protesting on college campuses? Go to the White House, go to the Senate, or the house of Congress.
Because they are asking the universities to stop doing business with Israel or Israel businesses . Students pay tuition and don’t want the universities to spend it to a country that hurts people in Gaza
@@Blitznstitch2 Student's are not paying for their studies, Joe Biden is making the hard working Tax payer paid for it, with their taxes.
They demand their college to divest from all company related to israel
From my understanding, they are protesting the colleges investments in companies that continue to invest in the continued war (at least Columbia and Vanderbilt protests started off that way). Tuition is a lot of money so students get upset when they see their money going for military operations such as attacking and killing World Kitchen volunteers who were trying to prevent innocent Palestinians from starving.
Jimmy Carter’s brilliant book, “Peace not Apartheid” explains the problem.
2 million arab israelis forgot to read it ....
Wow. Joe way to dismiss these professors
