You're such a cool dude and inspiration. I really appreciate your videos. I haven't quit yet but I've been trying ... and trying ... and trying. Ive tried vaping, I've read (and loved) Allen carr., I've tried the patch. I've been smoking for about 10 years. About a pack and a half a day. I'm in a similar situation you were in where I can smoke all day every day. At home, at work, everywhere. All of my family smokes. All of my friends smoke. I hate it though. And I hate that I cant seem to put it down and walk away. I've been experimenting with going as long as I can lately. I do fine but after a few hours that internal voice kicks in. All of the sudden I'm gravitating towards another cigarette. To make it worse, my girlfriend quit too (which is great) but she's the type who just put it down and walked away. It was no big deal for her. I feel like I've completed a puzzle except for one piece. I feel like I'm so close. I just want to be done with this nightmare.
Hang in there, Daniel :) That voice we have that tells us to go smoke is still us, we can get it to say anything we want..turning "I really feel like I need a smoke right now" to "I really feel like I need a smoke right now BUT, I know if I smoke, I'll feel even more miserable, so I'll hang on."
Did you really listen to allen carr and heed the msg? Write down all the positives and negatives of smoking. Set a time or acknowledge your last cigarette and do it. Change that voice remind yourself why you're quitting and why you hate it when you have a craving and remember nicotine is out of your system completely in 3 days
Hi, Chris. I stopped smoking for 4 months return to smoking, quit for another 3 months and went back to smoking again. Now, im back to Day 2 without any cigarrete eating a lot of baby carrots. I got your book which i did not finish reading yet. Ive seen a lot of your videos before and they helped me a lot. Its time for me to get back on track. I will keep watching the rest of you videos and finish reading your book. Thank you for all your help. Keep it up. Youre making a quite big difference. I will do all my best to stay stop smoking permanently this time, one day at a time. Thanks for all your help in the past until today, now. Thank you very much for this video
Hi Chris, Day 6 here. Very helpful and excellent video. I'll write down my reasons for quitting and keep it handy. Thank you for everything very well said.
Thank you for creating this content and putting it on TH-cam I watched your videos a lot and they helped me to quit smoking and stay strong it's been about 4 months sense my quit day and I don't even think about cigerettes any more thanks again bro
Anyways. I love that you've succeeded in your quit. I have so many people around me that have quit. I just want to follow suit if it makes me feel better. If they can do it I can do it.
Chris. Thank you so much. Please continue your videos for us, for yourself. I believe that your going to be found someday. Your method of helping people is awesome. I will order your book. Your inspiration is just resting and adjusting....welcome to USA!!! Im glad your here
Hi, chris thanks a lot for all your videos. Its really helping me a lot. Im on day 7 quit smoking today with nicotine patch. You are an inspiration to all thats trying to quit smoking. I think of you as a portal to quit smoking life style and environment of an ideal recovering smokaholic. Keep it up, im behind you. I feel really motivated and inspired to keep trying to quit. Right now I'm learning how to cook as part of my new routine, focus, or goal as you call them . Thanks to you.
Chris you are really helping me thru my quit journey. I would like to see a video on your views on nicotine replacement products. I don’t think I will smoke again and a lot of that is down to you.
I sometimes think about myself before I started smoking. And I say to myself 'you were fine before all this why can't you just stop and go back to those days? " I just need to get back to not feeling all these "cravings and withdrawals.
Hello Chris, I am really trying to quit smoking for a long time. I referred to many helpful contents such as "Allen Carr" videos and audiobooks. I listened to them many many times. But after some time I get back into relapse. How before giving up entirely I decided to watch this video. It was really amazing. I finally decided to quit today. Let's see how it goes.
I'm sorry about all these messages. I'm just about in tears. Actually I am in tears because I honestly hate. Hate hate this condition that I'm in. I want out!
Thank you both! Sobriety Society! ❤️ Sober: 1,565 Days Smoke Free: 226 Days Proud to be a sub! Your videos are excellent Chris! Never stop... you are a huge inspiration!
When I quit for just 2 months I noticed a sharp change in my hockey game. I was able to go coast to coast and back without getting tired. I want that again. Please pray for me Chris.
Good video. 4 months smoke free. We all know cigarettes smell and taste terrible. I've found an interesting motivation from the neighborhood. My complex is on the edge of a big corporate campus. It can be freezing with rain and smokers are standing in the rain smoking. Texas gets really hot in the summer too. I'll see people on the curb smoking when it's 110 degrees F. The longer I go without the more I wonder what these people are thinking. Mostly they're standing alone not talking with anyone. It seems so lonely. I really feel a lot more outgoing than before. I guess it's all in your head. Keep up the good work.
It's so brutal. I don't feel normal unless I have cigarettes. Vape. Ect. You have been a big help in learning different ideas about it, though. The cravings for me are like a knife. And they persist.
Funny how each time I open up my TH-cam app JUST THE RIGHT VIDEO OF YOURS happens to be be recommended on my front page!!!! I’m getting ready for my big day, 2 days away (maybe less 👍) MY QUIT DAY 😁😁. Tell me this isn’t the perfect video. 👍. I watch a couple of your videos a day. Especially before I go sleep. I feel so positive this time. Thank you Chris. I’ve also joined your Facebook group for my support 🤗.
My connection to smoking is psychologically so deep rootet. 😩 i don't mind the physical withdrawal syptoms at all but for me it's unbelievable mental challenging
Hi Chris I dont know what to do to get motivated I quit for a month and I started again, i tried a couple of times but keep failing, and that cause me to feel so bad i see myself as a failure!! even my friend think i am a looser they dont support me and my husband is a chain smoker and he said he refuse to quit and he give me no support i don't have some one to support me,Thank you for your supportb through the videos
I read somewhere that a lot of smokers report trying to quit up to 30 times before succeeding. I know it’s so hard.. hope it has worked out for you by now
I quit smoking for 12 yrs. alias I started again for the past 2 yrs 😔 I just completed 19 days smoke free, but today I relapsed 😢. I am so angry sad and mad!! So tomorrow I will try again to stop come hell or high water!! First time quitting was easy..... why so hard this time 😢🥵
Haha! My phone's lock screen is a photo of one of the pages of Alan Carr's book, reminding me of what smokers are deprived of :D By the way Chris, I have today come across a TH-cam channel; Miami Hypnosis Center, and the hypnotherapist Todd Goodwin is providing some really good information. The things he says are very similar to what Alan Carr wrote in his book, which is not surprising, as Alan himself quit after a revelation he experienced following hypnotherapy. I have not watched all the videos, but thought you might want to check it out. Thank you for this video, I have been doing some hard thinking, taking notes and had written that I should envision myself and my day as a non-smoker. Your video confirmed my thoughts, I will definitely be trying it 😊
@@ChrisSkoyles Dear Chris, thank you. I have been trying to focus on improving my awareness of what my mind is trying to do. I have finished the Allen Carr book, but was at the same time trying to find some other ways to make that light bulb go on for me. You see, I sensed that there had to be a light bulb involved, right when I started the book :) I am a perfectionist, so I felt that I needed to make sure I achieved that light bulb moment, otherwise I would fail. I was so scared of failure, that it was essential for me to support the book with other psychological content. I guess I am still expecting that moment of revelation, which did not happen when I finished the book. One reason might be, that I was not clueless to begin with. I was aware of the addiction and the action mechanism of nicotine in the body, since I am a veterinarian (we have pharmacology as a class and have to learn about alkaloids and what they do). Sometimes when we know more, we are harder to impress or startle. Thus, I have simultaneously been watching you and have discovered Marisa Peer, whom you probably know of and some really enlightening TED Talks. Watching and reading these additional sources have given me a deeper perspective of why I feel the way I do and how I can deal with it. Shortly, I would like to say to ex-smokers and soon to be ex-smokers, that they need to see this as a journey of unraveling your true self and your experiences. Smoking is just the tip of the iceberg, most of us have deeper struggles and we need to believe that we are strong enough to tackle them. I hope for myself, that stopping smoking will be the beginning of this journey, as I do not intend to or cannot physically and mentally afford to delay it any further. Hugs and kisses to all of you and thank you Chris for this wonderful channel. You are indeed a breath of fresh air :)
Thanks Sonja, I'll take a look and update them. In the meantime our group is here - facebook.com/groups/findingfreedom1 And my page is here - facebook.com/chrisskoyles
