John made it pretty clear at one point, and he (John) put Kayce as the one to take over. Rip will support that roll, yet be very protective of his love/wife Beth. Together Kayce and Rip will do what they have to, bringing closure to the revenge they seek.
@ For clarity my earlier comment was in regards to a point in the show where John asked Rip to step back and move out of the house he was in for Kayce to move in as it was time he would be taking over. So in relation to some saying Rip will take over fighting for the ranch, I’m simply making the point, not to rule Kayce out and his roll. Nothing to do with who inherits the Ranch, and yes, Tate has.
Definitely not, she's the reason they have no mom and grandma. The ranch should go to Casey and his family. But it will end up going to the Native Americans. I guess you haven't watched 1823. When the Duttons first got to Montana and found their land, it belonged to the Native Americans, and the native American told the founding Dutton that he will only have this land for 7 generations and then it will go back to the Native Americans. Casey is the 7th generation
You guys are so late to the party, the ending has been leaked already. Everyone died except for Casey's wife and son and what makes it more sad is Casey's wife finds out she was pregnant after learning Casey died.
Rip will take care of Jamie, Kayce will take care of the assassins of John. Ultimately a portion of the ranch will go to Tate in concert with Broken Rock. Without John, Beth has no attachment to the ranch, she and Rip will go to the 6666’s to enhance that series. Possibly including deals with Tate to promote the Y’s legacy of hundreds of years of quality cattle lines.
Rip is the only man for the up coming job from the train station to handing anything that comes to the Yellowstone Ranch
RIP will do anything for Beth.
So will kacey.
