    Ephesians 2: 13-18; Mark 6: 30-34
Title: #Embracing@the_Shepherd's Call to Unity and Compassion
The readings for the 16th Sunday of Ordinary Time B encourage us to embrace the Shepherd's Call to Unity and Compassion.
In today’s first reading from the Book of Jeremiah, we are reminded of God's promise to gather his scattered flock, to bring them back from exile and disarray under the guidance of shepherds who care for and nurture the people. The Lord pledges to raise up righteous leaders who will tend to His people with integrity and skill, leading them towards unity and restoration.
Psalm 23, continues the theme of God as the ultimate shepherd. It is a comforting reminder that no matter our challenges, God’s presence provides solace, security, and peace.
