- Let's discover some of the Mauritius food you have to try when visiting the island. A convenient way to sample many of the popular street foods of Mauritius (and learn about its history) is through a food tour of Port Louis. We had a great experince with Taste Buddies, a local company that runs 3 -hour food tours both in Port Louis and in the South of the island. Of course, you can also have a DIY Mauritius street food tour, using the shops we visited as guidance. Everything we tried was delicious, the dholl puri being our favorite!

Tour price is 2000 MUR per adult. Kids under 10 yo are free.

Thanks for watching. I do not think there is any specific date. It is a beloved Mauritian street food and some people refer to it as the national dish but dio not think this is a general position 😊
