These Immortal Songs King of Kings performances are a special stage on KBS…a battle episode of Immortal Songs…only a handful are invited to perform. There are 2 of these each year a summer and Winter edition. This was the summer edition in first half of 2022 which Forestella won. Of course! They are the KING OF KINGS because they are still the unbeaten and historic winners of 6 CONSECUTIVE winners of the trophy since end of 2019 to end of 2022. This trophy is the holy grail among the contestants on the Immortal Songs series which nearly weekly episodes in which the episode winner has to survive 5 rounds to have the hope of an invite to the King of Kings ultimate battle. Artists are responsible for stage and presentation in the weekly episodes but are governed by a theme. No originals only reinterpretations of covers. No theme for the battle episode. But staging and presentation is their responsibility.

Talking about adding another languages, you must see Forestella added Spanish and Zulu to Shape of you. There are various versions viedo of the same stage, I think you would love Ko WooRim face cam version a lot! Interestingly, you said it right, they intended the vampire concept. It feels very suited for the lyrics when imagined the romance with a vampire. They also said this Bad Romance is a concept bridge between Save our lives and UTOPIA, first 2 parts of their original World Tree trilogy. You noticed the French in this song. Forestella has sung an entire song in French. “Je suis malade”, with an almost perfect pronunciation by 3 of the 4 members. They have also sung in English (many covers), Italian (Nella Fantasia, Parla Piu Piano, El Amore non so sai), Russian (Inner Universe), English-Spanish-Zulu in “Shape of You”, and Korean, of course. (Mama is my favorite). A crazy pop song called “Kool”, and a handful of originals; “ Save our lives”, “ For life”, “Utopia”, “Snow Globe”, “Apocalypse”. Enjoy!
And, what you missed completely... Their perfect English. They are from South Korea and not English speakers. Their Spanish on Despacito and other languages are equally good. If you are keeping going with upbeat.. Try "Shape of you" or "Sweet Dreams". For me, one of their best performances (alongside Bohemian Rhapsody) is... "Je suis malade". 😭😭😭
