I think the best feature is having a huge ass key dangle from underneath the bike so in a crash it can snap off and permanently keep the bike on or off. Holding down a button or switches is so gauche.
Re charger. It would have it's own full bridge rectifier built in so it doesn't matter which way it's plugged. I'd personally grab a new plug from a hardware shop to attach to the lead.
The charger works OK in Australia, I have the previous model and it's all good. I engaged the throttle because when bought it wasn.t working, Very fast bike with a superior battery. Cruise control is excellent, engages after holding the throttle for 10 seconds. Love it.
I like your videos. You put out some great content. I have the Engwe too. In fact I bought 2, his & hers. I changed the 2 pin EU style plug for a 3 pin UK style plug. The provided adapters are crap.
0:57 No need to bugger around with the charger - 1) next time you're recycling any white goods, no need to return the plug, so just snip and keep it (with fuse and all the electrical wire up to the entry point of the unit itself), 2) swap the fuse with a 3amp (packs of 9 fuses available in Poundland (i.e. Dealz, for us here in Ireland)), 3) snip off the 2-pin plug and simply replace it with your UK-standard 3-piner WITH A 3-AMP FUSE! Sor-ted!

the new ones can switch between 250 watts and turbo mode 999 watts. Has an option for switching the throttle off. Its about 1200 quid and dual battery.

Your videos are great but you're really asking for it not wearing a helmet doing 30mph+ on the roads. I'm not gonna tell you how to live your life but it's honestly quite stupid not wearing one at those speeds, just my opinion mate
@@gavinprosser Nobody wears a helmet on a bike here in the Netherlands, only on motorcycles. Helmets on a bike is typically an American thing, they think it's normal to purchase an AK47 and wear helmets on bikes. Weird people..
They’ve improved the charger, 3 pin plug, works perfect. Ordered Tuesday night late, it arrived this morning, definitely going for the BMX handlebar upgrade, it’s an absolute blast.
@@mazad0x yes, if you get one, tighten all the Allen bolts on the bike, I bought some loctite and used it pretty much everywhere. Change the hydraulic brake pipes over, I paid a bike shop to do it, didn’t fancy waiting for a bleed kit to arrive, didn’t cost much as he didn’t actually need to bleed the system. I changed the handlebars for BMX bars on new models you only need bars and stem to do it.

It’s caught me out too, I came off on grass, noticed obstacle last second, tried rear wheel skid steer with left lever, front wheel locked up, washed out, I don’t bounce as well as I used too…
Good video. Pretty certain I'm choosing this one. But why do you have the seat so low. A normal bike seat would be approx level with handlebar. Seems lots of people do that.
I recently upgraded the brake to hydraulic brakes on my ebike. It's about 2000w. The brakes are incredible, but I do wonder if I am risk with brakes the forks, or mounting points on the brakes. Any thoughts anyone?
Nice looking bike wouldn’t mind one myself nice that it looks like a uk legal bike so coppers won’t bother you and I like the fact you can change the eco/sport mode separate to the pedal assist speed, also I would of cut the foreign plug off and wired in a cheap uk plug from Halfords unless the charger is faulty.
I'd be surprised if anyone can tell the wattage, it's not on the bike. Painful there's no room for mirrors to watch for plod though, that would be nice

He reviews and does loads of stuff about folding fat bikes, he’s designed and is selling a folding stem specifically for these kinds of bikes, which lets you whack different bars on there, like bmx bars etc.. might be worth checking out if you don’t like the stock bars but still want it to be foldable
The charger works, with a European to uk 3 pin adapter plug. Can get the for a few quid of Amazon or even in Poundland lol. There adapter is useless. But yeah just get a plug adapter. Normally get em with electric shavers.

I'd love for you to do a review on the Lankeleisi x3000 plus UP. Its a great looking folding ebike, duel suspension, 1000W, 48V but its more expensive at around £1,400... I've got one waiting for me at home for when I take my shore leave in a months time but I couldn't find a review that's in English.
We have an x3000 and it's a great little bike! We changed the handlebars for wider ones to help with stability, the standard rear shock is crap (same for my RV 700) but is ok for road use. I would fit BMX bars if it was mine (it's my partner's bike) as it does feel very "upright" when riding, I prefer a less upright riding position. Lankelisi are terrible at customer service, no one from the main UK website has bothered to reply to any of my emails regarding the bike. If I were to need another ebike I would build my own as all of the parts are easily available and would work out alot cheaper!
Love the review they look like awesome bikes with plenty of power I'm buying one in a couple of months here in Australia I'll be fitting a solid headset and changing the bars to ape hangers with a wide tan springer seat with white wall tires painted candy red and black with a trailer with the same tires and paint to match perfect little hauler👌

That plug thing is called a "deathadaptor" copyright 2015 Big Clive YT . So called because it defeats UK plug safety and can easily kill a child (you can have live connection to exposed earth or even main pins halfway out). It'll also cause a house fire quite easily. It exists because it's illegal to sell electronics without UK plugs but Amazon eBay and China dgaf and Brits are too cheap to complain / too dense to realise the danger. Btw your problem with which way round left or right pin is moot because mains is AC ... except that you can also get it one pin in power, one to earth, or your hand and also die. Just like "falling" off a bike at 30mph without a helmet which can happen at any time whilst on UK roads surrounded by our wonderful skillful caring intelligent drivers.

I have the Engine Pro and X. The pro is the better bike, but the X has the higher range. On both bikes I have disconnected the throttle. But both bikes are still really fun to ride. They can really beat a lot of different terrains! Just as you have shown in this great video. 👍
@@nabhanq Both bikes have been ride over 750km and are holding up well. The pro is the better one. The X has mechanical brakes and one of them has been replaced by myself due failure. I have disconnected the throttle for legal reasons and I wanted to have bikes, not scooters.

@Lassy Dogpie I wanted a bike, not a scooter. That is the reason I disabled the throttle and limited the bike for speeding. These bikes do have a good battery range, far better than the so called legal bikes.

I had the Engwe ep2. Fantastic bikes but sadly not legal in the uk. I would love the pro but can’t afford losing it to the police or face 3 points on my driving licence. I bought a head for my euro charger that converts it to a uk plug. Never had an issue.

Absurd, ordered the bike on April 2, the rear bag arrived but the bicycle did not arrive!! Is it written on the online order fulfilled!!? If I knew so I bought it from a shop in Italy.
I really wanted something with more speed, coming from 72V dualtron escooter, but I opted for a newgen 345s. But I seam to have some sort of motor limiter on, its 750W bafang hub drive, and I'm only getting 22mph with Max volts, newgen say no limiter from there side, can anybody help 🤔🙏🏼

The chargers I've had are fine, the adapter you have there is crap, get a two pin one. There's an asian tech guy made a video on this bike, totally dismantles and tests everything, even the battery , and tests it all with lab gear. He's impressed with the quality of it all. If you keep this, a small tip. . Put a little felt pad on the battery at the far end to stop it rattling. I've lined my tyres with aramid tape to stop punctures which are nasty on these tyres, they pop off the rim and make it hard as hell to even push. They look tough but are really thin walled.
Stick a bmx headset and bars on it. I've seen others do it and it improves handling, riding position/comfort and more real estate for accessories. I really want one of these cos I've been using a e-scooter to commute but it's broken after 6 weeks. It's the second one I've had too cos amazon had to replace the first one for other issues. Time for an e-bike I think. Wish I could afford one of these.
Very nice looking bike bro!! I have a fiido L3 and comes with the same 2 pin yank charger plug throwing out 3amp, I think I'll upgrade it to a 5amp for a quicker charge and it won't fry my 48v 23.3ah. I also bought a safety site baseball cap, I would recommend you wear something bro.
I bet the price is insane I wouldn't have one even if I was given one. You can beat buying wheel kits fro aliexpress I've got one that does 40+ that's insane plus it works out much cheaper
dude most of the eat my kids you use probably had cruise control in the settings but you're probably missed out on it most of mine have and I'm enjoying that you're enjoying that little bike the 25 to 27 mile an hour constant is what I'm looking for even though I love speed 👍
I have a simular bike and changed the handlebars for BMX ones, now looks and handles so much better.
I would raise the seat slightly just so you don’t have to bend your knees so much. Nice bike 👍🏽

I have done the same think and thinking of taking the rear too. You get less weight and way better function of the rear suspension.

Full throttle especially on Sportmode.
Add the BMX bars and it gets even better! transforms the handling.
Mine was shipped with a decent 3 amp charger. It does get warm. Mine is a US plug.

i have nerly the same to the bigger non folding bike and i have 2 48v 17ah batterys and it gets me miles fast too

you can usually remove the battery on these e-bikes with the key. perhaps that is now also possible with this ebike. Maybe if you fold the frame

The chargers I've had are fine, the adapter you have there is crap, get a two pin one. There's an asian tech guy made a video on this bike, totally dismantles and tests everything, even the battery , and tests it all with lab gear. He's impressed with the quality of it all. If you keep this, a small tip. . Put a little felt pad on the battery at the far end to stop it rattling. I've lined my tyres with aramid tape to stop punctures which are nasty on these tyres, they pop off the rim and make it hard as hell to even push. They look tough but are really thin walled.

Stick a bmx headset and bars on it. I've seen others do it and it improves handling, riding position/comfort and more real estate for accessories. I really want one of these cos I've been using a e-scooter to commute but it's broken after 6 weeks. It's the second one I've had too cos amazon had to replace the first one for other issues. Time for an e-bike I think. Wish I could afford one of these.

Very nice looking bike bro!! I have a fiido L3 and comes with the same 2 pin yank charger plug throwing out 3amp, I think I'll upgrade it to a 5amp for a quicker charge and it won't fry my 48v 23.3ah. I also bought a safety site baseball cap, I would recommend you wear something bro.
