this is their first wishbus performance. and the wishbus environment is very tough for live singing, one has to be at their best and lots of artists are intimidated by it. plus in a land full of singers, a pro needs to stand out. you’d notice that mikha and sheena are not their usual relaxed selves (to say the least) 😊 they have grown tremendously in confidence since this one. mikha immediately in their next return to the bus was oozing the confidence you see nowadays. took a while for sheena to be at ease with just singing (watch her during the cherry on top performance, she’s literally enjoying herself much more than before)

That is why she is called the all rounder as she can compose, play instruments, rap, dance and of course sing. hahahaha I did not notice the guy teleporting to whoever was singing and thus ensuring that we get a glimpse of him. You can hear the performance outside so he might be running whenever he knows who is next lol. In the Philippines pop groups especially girl groups are not really a thing where we often gravitate towards solo artists and for groups it would usually be a band. With kpop becoming big that paved a way for ppop groups to be created and unfortunately seen as cringed and even today being branded as feeling Kpop and just copying foreign acts but that is the thing with music, it is universal and each one has an influence and can be adapted.

that was pandemic era....our govt back then have strict 'social distancing' laws, the 'face mask, face shield era', some cities and provinces were on total lockdown, travel was limited locally and internationally, student's classrooms were limited to half, most were given online classes, concerts and big crowds were prohibited....till it was eventually lifted. and everybody slowly rose above the negative effects of the pandemic and the lockdowns. so it's not that filipino crowds are hard to please, but it was a difficult time back then for most globally and bini was no exception. im glad to be one of their online / youtube fan when they released 'born to win' till their rise to fame.

The PH is not used to having an actually talented and non-sexualized girl group. Bini took time to change that mindset that’s why in the beginning they weren’t recognized too well. For a country with vocal talent surplus it shouldn’t be surprising that a group like bini can exist.
