I have an interesting challenge for you. get yourself a huge roll of clear plastic, go somewhere that the ducks fly over on the way to the water, an empty field or corn stubble. Roll out the plastic, put rocks or mud on the edges, set your decoys, get your calls ready. Call the ducks as they are flying over. They will see the plastic and think it is water. Shoot them before they land. Never shoot over or through your decoys. Ever see a duck or goose land on ice? Same happens when they try to land on plastic. It really works. My friend and I used to do this in the Great Lakes Flyway in Monroe Michigan. We would shoot grackles and starlings for the farmer, and he would allow us to set up in his fields. Corn stalks and folding chairs make your blinds, sit on the buckets and cover yourself with teepeed stalks.
The ducks are move'n in baby! Nice to to those honkers show'n up to. Those little catch ponds get deep quick. LOL

Mojo stakes aren't long enough? 1/2 inch pvc works great. Cut to the length you want being sure to leave the coupler end on. Mojo foot fits right into that end.

When I was younger I filled my waders all the way up on two separate occasions....and it was so cold out, so cold that there was 2 inches of ice on the water It was a miserable remainder to the hunt, but lots of good and funny memories.

You should do a decoy bag challenge. Whatever u can fit into a decoy bag is all you can take including shells gun blind etc

They make for great sport man id say they are my favorite to hunt soley because they are like the miniature millenial falcon in hyperdrive of the duck world. So much fun but not the brightest birds😂😂
I was out hunting a lake with s couple buddy’s and we shot some honkers and we went to walk out and get them and for some reason I found the only deep spot on this ledge sank all the way to my neck. 😂 lucky it was a nice warm 28 degrees out. Finished the hunt out though was frozen. When I finally got the clothes off my waders and jacket were frozen stiff
Honestly bro the best thing is to head to the truck fast. A hunt isnt worth risking hypothermia or something worse

Mojo poles fit good in 3/4 inch metal electrical conduit pipe. We use a 10ft pole sometimes and a 5ft pole. If you bought two 10ft pipes then you have one 10ft and two 5ft.

I flipped a cannue last week. went swimming in my waders, luckily I was able to stand up, but I absolutely filled the waders.
I've gone over a few times trying to stand and shoot out of floating pirouge.

My question is why did you set the A-Frame on the waters edge? Set it back by the willows behind the log!!! Will blend in better and help when hunting ponds that get deep quick. With your blind set back it allows you to take average ranged shots so you connect more often with them falling in the decoys. With your blind set back birds are more likely to come into the decoys and like you said utilize your motion decoys.

Me and my buddy just got into duck hunting this year and last weekend we went to our spot we scouted and got on the x and we started out in the boat and got to the spot and we had our blind we just built in the boat with us so we could set it up on shore and we got out and started walking all the sudden it dropped off we both filled our waders and held onto the boat with everything we got we finished setting up our blind and continued the hunt

Last Saturday my boy and I were able to go out for the first time of the year... We just put the marsh seats into the Reeds of Cheyenne bottoms and he didn't realize that the seats are wobbly and went to plop down on it, it will need popped on it it gave way fell to the side and went backwards into the water got a bunch of water in his waders. I asked him if he wanted to leave immediately so we could get warm and he refused and ended up that day he fell two more times on top of that all the way down. Hit a nice little three foot drop last December at a lake I had never hunted. Got completely soaked and had the ride home of shame in my boxers. Made me way more cautious about taking my time and going slow at a new place. Also reminded me it’s always better to go hunting with a buddy, and not just by myself.

We run our Mojos close to the water sometimes on windy days. Ducks can't tell how far they are off the water from the air.

Ha! Last Saturday I was out hunting in just above waist high water. I was being ignorant and tried to walk without a light on. Long story short, I tripped, ended up in the water and that was the end. Good times😂

I filled up my waders last weekend setting out decoys in 3 feet of water. Mud was about a foot deep and fell on my face haha

I shot a greenwing teal last season it was 18 degrees and while retrieving it I tripped on a log and fell dropped my gun to the bottom of the lake and filled my waders. We hunted another 4 hours and didn't kill anything... we had alot of laughs and froze at the same time. Memories for a life time.
I’ve seen some floating Mojos before in store, haven’t bought one yet though. Might be good for those deep areas

I just filled my waders last weekend. Shot 2 Ring necks and my buddy and I didn't have a boat to go get them. So we had to end up swimming out to get them about 100 yards because the wind took them across the pond hahahaha.
pushing the boat of the backs waters of res rock lake near des moines, ia when i srted getting into the open water and stepped off into the river channel. fill the waders, ripped the straps. trying to hold on to the loading ladder. ended up sinking 10 ft below the surface before i shook of the waders. i came up. they went down.
Bobby catch clean cooks are the best but try the motion duck challenge 7 ducks on 1 jurk rig that's it!!

I fell in one day when it was 15 degrees and I was floating in the water and couldn’t get back on my feet I was covered in ice but I kept hunting the grind is real...

Bobby here is the BEST recipe for Buffleheads!!
1. Brine for 12 hours
2. Marinate in dales for 4 hours
3. Marinate in Italian dressing 4 hours
4. Salt and pepper heavily
5. Heat pan to medium high
6. Melt full stick of butter in pan
7. Seat both sides to a rare juicy perfection
8. Take off pan let cool for 3 minutes
9. Throw them in the trash
I would buy a Dux duck call but they are just so expensive I can get a buck Gardner or duck commander for about 15 dollars cheaper for the same crisp sound and quality. And of course I want to support you in everything you do with this Chanel but me being a 13 year old it’s kinda hard to spend a lot of money on something when I can get it for cheaper

With them Texas rigs you should be able to grab the decoys and the weight should slide on its own all the way down and then just hook the loop with the clip you shouldn't have to get your hands wet like that

Filled up my waders just a couple weekends ago... went to scout a wood duck spot and stepped right into a beaver run. Went over my head but luckily I was able to step right back up. It was only 35° so I was VERY cold! Everything was drenched. Thank God I’m still fine though, I had water up to my mid thigh!

Took my nephew in a snow storm, his first year. Told him, waters not deep, just jump straight in out of the boat. His legs were way to short to swing in over the edge of the boat. What’s he do?? Swings in and bobs under like a bobber. Good thing was no water went in! Lol

Ive filled my waders before plenty. Darn crawfisherman dont tell up when they clean out the levees and will leave a 6 ft deep whole. with no warning if you arent careful, youll be up to your head instantly lol.
