Hi I have recently had my ancestry done and found a relative that I believe to be part of this culture. Her name was Anne Ouestnorouest dit petitous. My grandmother spent her life trying to find her people so it's connecting with our actual roots that I'm interested in. This honors song is absolutely beautiful :)
Is it possible to get the Abenaki lines?? Sounds like the second is something like 'odana ki ni odana' first line sounds like it ends the same, but the beginning sounds a bit different. Wliwni!

It is so interesting/strange to hear the french accent on the indigenous language. it is beautiful but haunting.
