I got the black ones and wear them casually. As a big dude at 230lbs, these are comfortable just to wear around all day, got several compliments too. They are true to size!
I’ve logged several hours in the white and black pair and at 6’6 220 with an athletic style of play these have been my go to. ZoomX foam has flattened out but thanks to the full length zoom it still feels great. I’ve had no issues with containment or stability personally.
Dope vid! The one shoe that's for me is the Jordan 10! I first wore it after spraining my ankle and wore them all through physio and getting back to the court! One of the most underrated in my opinion!
@@deejaay You can always wear ankle braces or condition your ankles to be more stronger. I get it too, might not be a shoe for everyone. Sounds more like a guard shoe or someone that plays light on there feet then a bigger guard that plants hard. That would more of a AE1 shoe.
It’s the Jordan 38 mid for me. I found everything to be perfect even the lacing system. Combined with a Move Game Day insole, it’s the best shoe for the way I play and what I need. I actually have 3 pairs now, 1 for outdoors and two for my indoor rotation, and I may be looking for a 4th or a 5th as they are going on sale and I’m looking to stock up on a couple pairs.
Jordan 34. Got it on it release day and I still think it was the best shoe I ever hooped in. Dropped some buckets, I felt like I was at my peak, that particular time in my life, it’s just nostalgic and the shoe was such a beast and so fun to play in. Only thing is that it kinda crushed my pinky toes a bit lol. Looking back at it I would’ve gone up 1/2 size.

I miss the Adidas Barricade 5s from back when I used to play tennis. They were kinda heavy, and not the most breathable, but the traction, stability and lockdown were all amazing. The aesthetic too, with the black on the medial side, and white on the lateral, was something I just found super cool.
A slept on shoe that I can still go back to, even right now is the Jordan Melo M12! The cushion, lock down, traction, are all top notch! Great fit, light and bouncy with good response. My favorite hoop shoe
Great help for people like me that I am not able to point out with words the pros and cons of a shoe. The maximum that I can say is "I feel them right or wrong"

Best hoop shoe: Jordan Melo M11, stable, light and bouncy as heck. The Jordan 37 is very similar and very much underated as a hoop shoe. Bonus is the 37 have been very durable.
My favorite shoe I have played in recently is the Jordan 38. It's the best of both worlds for me. It's super stable up front and very coushy in the back. I hate to see that the 39 isn't like that. 38 was one of my favorite J's in a long time.
My go-to shoes to this day are Kobe 8s, and I’m enjoying the protros personally as well. Lots of shoes have amazed me but the only pair that’s come close is PG5s
Zoom Kobe V were the shoes for me. Everything from top to bottom was 💯. Fit was perfect. Black and silver pair was my first and played in them until the outsole had a hole in them. Keep up the great content! Been following you ever since the original Kobe IV performance review.

Shoes to get buckets in: Nike hyperfuse low, Melo 11s, Curry 2 low and Jordan 36 low All had a heel to toe transition and solid outriggers that helped roll me into stable shooting footwork- especially curling off screens, turning the corner and angled step backs.
Great review as always! I can tell you that for anyone that is flat footed, slightly wise footed, go TTS. I’ve only ever tried them on, didn’t pull the trigger because man, it’s an expensive shoe. But I am excited to pick them up, hopefully they hit sales prices soon

You tripping! The XX were great performers. Growing up, all of my friends were dunking, and playing hard in those. The worst Air Jordan model performance wise is definitely the AJ 33. They are borderline dangerous to wear in competitive settings.
1. My favorite shoes currently: Nike KD 15, WOW 10, Nike LeBron 21 (have really grown on me), NB Kawhi 4, NB Two Wxy 3 and 4 2. I think that the AJ 39 is incredibly comfortable and looks great (love the Lumiere colorway, in particular). I am not playing in them b/c they seem like an ankle injury waiting to happen and I have bad ankles. That said, I am wearing them as a lifestyle shoe b/c they feel GREAT! 3. One modern Nike is cheap moment here - I have both the SOL and Lumiere colorway - I am almost 100% sure that the Lumiere doesn't have the same leather (it seems like more of a nu-buc/suede)
If you ask about my special ones? I had two pairs of shoes that I completely fell in love with. The Adidas Tim Duncan's era shoes deserve a complete video. My first gym shoes were the Adidas Pro Model 2G. Man, I loved those shoes. And then there were the almighty Nike Hyperdunks, the old ones from between 2008 and 2012. The moment you put them on, you could really feel it. Those shoes were weapons.
Got really excited with these js. As a guy who is in his early 30s, has been over weight for awhile now and been having knee injuries, wide flat feet with chronic bunion pain, these shoes are just a blessing to people like me. Most shoes I wear to play ball just doesn't cut it man. It's either my knees hurt or my bunions hurt in-game or after. But these j39 are just so comfortable. Though I believe you when you say the stability and traction are a bit of a problem but I replaced the insole with some Move insoles and wore zamst ankle braces like Curry, it sure did elevate the stability of the shoes. To sum it up I am just glad I found the perfect fit to my ugly feet 😂. Peace! Love your review and videos too!
Get buckets shoes: -Curry 4 (Low): one of my all time favorites. -New Balance Two Wxy v3: still have 3 of these on deck - GT Hustle 2: a shoe I will grab another one or two
The Air Jordan 30 is the shoe I remember feeling like the most natural fit and more like an extension of my foot instead of something on my foot. The flightposite 1 would be the unexpected runner up for me.
The thing is about them is that since there no torsional support your complaint of the rocking isn’t the shoe just like rocking, no the shoe is ACTUALLY TRYING TO ROLL OVER ITSELF AND ROLL YOUR ANKLES. I’ve watched foot doctor Zach’s review which I always do after yours and his traction test shows the shoe rolling
Honestly anytime I play in the Drose 1, 1.5, 2.5's, 773, DRose 7's - I feel like I can't be stopped lol . If I had to pick one out of that entire list, the 1.5's. When the Restomods came out, it was like it transported me back to 2011. Great review as usual.
it is a nightmare for lower-leg stability for SURE, i am curious of the PEs, do they just have specific insole to counter all the flaws? or they actually going to have a shank or a different skeleton. ZoomX does deform a lot. so they have to "save" the integrity of the misole- GT CUT3 had the cage foam around Jordan Brand chose to go with barecupping, essentially it deform like a marshmallow- thats the footage showing 4:17
I've played in them once. I got asked by some friends to sub in for their adult league and i love these. I typically wear a size 13 but with this shoe and last years 38 i felt the length was long and went with the unicorn 12.5 and they fit good. If i played more inside i could get away with a 12 but then my toes would be at the edge. Definently think this is the best main line jordan for performance and off court since maybe like the 32s.
I bought the black ones and I had the worst case of achilles soreness ever in my life during and after hooping. I've been playing pickup ball for 20 years and I never had an experience like that. Sometimes after about 45 minutes into a hoop session I could feel my achilles just getting tired and worn out. It just made me feel like I was going to blow them out or something. So yeah, instantly returned. I got the Luka 3's and 0 achilles soreness from a $70 cheaper shoe. Inexcusable.
I love the cushioning on this shoe. I have not tried to play ball in them though. It’s been mostly casual wear for me and I have both the Sol and Lumiere colorways. Great feedback on the performance review Chris!!! Get the ankle braces ready should I choose to ball in them..got it!
Kobe 4 the best basketball shoe ever. I LOVE Jordan shoes but the KB4 is my favourite. It provides best-in-class traction, comfortable cushion, support, lockdown and court feel. Can't go wrong with a Kobe 4.
Kobe 6 is always the go to for me. Has been since original release 15 years ago. Enjoy new options, especially being older now I lean towards more cushion. Love this Jordan model but wish Nike/Jordan houses the cushion something similar to EQLZ 24/7 and the 39 would be incredible for me.
The new Nike skate shoes the PS8, they have a plate in them that looks like what the Jordan 39 needs. It's a plate that covers the heel/midfoot and forks to cover the lateral and medial sides of the foot while leaving an open spot in the middle... I agree with Chris that it probably didn't need full length zoom air... Maybe a unit in the heel and with turbo unit in the forefoot. Can't let the turbo units die out man!!! As much as i would like a zoom stroble, i feel like it would lead to too much instability with the combo of zoom x foam.
KD 9 kobe 11 i remember needing new shoes bc i felt like my kyries were absolutely cooked in terms of hardwood traction and my foot grew slightly so i walked into nike outlet and boom draft day kobe 11s and kd 9s for a total of 110 man the ride on those kd 9s were smooth
As for the QOTD, it’s gotta be the D Rose 1.5 or the Pro Model (the new ones with bounce cushion) for me. Those are my favorites. Also love the Kyrie 6. Would be my all time favorite if not for the short strap. The Curry 2 was also that shoe for me at one point.
For me, the basketball shoe that feels like it was made for my feet and is comfortable for me is the Curry 2. I have two colourways of it the Iron Sharpens Iron & The Unanimous MVP.
I was really hoping these would be good. The AJ29 is my favorite all time hoop shoe. My current hoop rotation are the KD16's, Don Issue 6, and WOW all city 11s
QOTD: For on-court use, the value of a shoe whose fit, cushioning, comfort, and features achieve synergy with your feet and your style of game is WAY underrated. I've worn lots of shoes that performed great, but which I ultimately had to give up on because they caused me blisters or rubbed my achilles or ankles raw. For me, that perfect shoe was the Air Jet Flight. It felt like a running shoe with basketball shoe stability. I remember buying every pair I could find in my size and ended up with enough pairs to wear for a couple years. They weren't popular at all, so I was able to get a bunch of them at clearance-level prices. The lack of stability in the Jordan 39 seems like a huge issue. This is now the second review that I've seen that says they're amazing except for this one HUGE caveat. It'll be interesting to see what kind of use it gets in the league this year. Maybe they'll solve it in the low. Thanks for the video! Here's a comment, up there's a like, and you two keep that bell ringing for me!
I was so hyped for this release, too. It seems like they noticed that nobody wears the new Jordans as lifestyle sneakers anymore and sought to rectify that with this model (which, aesthetically, they did; I'd rock the hell out of these on the street), but then forgot to make it a proper, bleeding edge basketball shoe first.
My go to shoe that stays in my rotation is Jordan 32 currently playing in black cat colorway and have a pair of UNC waiting to be played in. I play in 34's , and cosmic unity's outdoor.
I liked the 31’s. I know they had chronic traction issues, but I didn’t experience that for whatever reason. I did play in them indoors and outdoors. I don’t know if that had anything to do with it. I had the black cat color away and the space jams both. The instability issues didn’t bother me much and I really enjoyed the cushion and the fit.
For a shoe designed after the classic Jordan 9 I feel like they missed out on adding a outrigger that calls back to the Jordan 9s “fingers” I feel like it would have been a easy cost effective way of adding it to the cupsole while adding some extra stability and a good homage to there heritage that they claim to be doing
The Kobe 9 Elite is the series I went crazy on. It was the perfect mix of performance and style. The Jordan XX8 is a close second. These were shoes that were 225 and 250 USD respectively 😫
Hi, for me the biggest issue was pain on the heel/Achilles (skin cut), as shoe is designed in the way that top back part is pinching back of the achilles, I'm surprise that nobody brought it up as well
Harden Vol. 1, half size down is that shoe for me. Whenever I put on my busted ass pair, bottomed out cushion and all, I feel instantly more nimble, more confident in my handle, and more aggressive overall. Wish I would have bought 10 pairs. Puma Clyde All-Pro is the only other shoe I’ve tried that’s made me feel close to that. Currently have the Nitros waiting to be played in.
Just wanna feel the (algo) rhythm , feel the rhyme. I can’t wait to try the 39 on. The 38 felt amazing and looked so cool. The look of this shoe isn’t my fav but the cushion tech is atleast dope.
The shoes that perform well for me, especially during my younger days where everyday after school I would play hoop has to be the DRose 3.5. Those fit my style of play when I was younger and had the conditioning cause I used to run a lot whether on fastbreaks or chasing down to defend, plus they are really supportive shoes. Now, especially that I tend to only play ball like once or twice a month with a somewhat bad of a conditioning, I tend to go for the chinese brands like Anta cause they have comfy but stable cushioning and are very supportive.
My go to’s are for sure the Jordan 36 and 37. Polar opposites, but if i want more cushion, 36’s are my way. If i want more stability/ a better fit for me,(casual play) I’m going with the 37’s, which is controversial as the 37’s aren’t really liked.
Nike has done that with the Book 1s right? With the lateral side being firmer than the medial side + a separate outsole.. so I guess they really can do it! Maybe if they make a 39 "low" sometimes this year! Thanks for the review man!
The 39 is a really nice looking shoe. I think it is designed more for dress, and not performance. It doesn’t have good traction. It fits well, but you would be slipping all over the court.
My shoe I always gravitate on court is the Dame 5s, that shoe is for me. Cushion, lockdown, materials (internal padding), stability, traction is great but not the best Off court Jordan 13s hands down, my pair is beat up to the point where the heal counter is broken inside and I still wear it to this day
Seems like the perfect shoe for someone like me who loves max cushion setups like zoomx, loves the idea of wearing bball shoes casually and misses leather like Chris does. Unfortunately i am a wide footer but it might still work out like he said.
It’s funny how it all works. I have been dealing with foot/heel pain for a while now, and my most recent visit to the footspecialist, he actually advised to look for shoes that are less stiff and don’t have shank plates. So, for me, the 39 was good in that regard, and indeed, I was able to play longer before the pain set in. I absolutely love the cushion, and the traction is great (not the most athletic guy on the court). The cushion reminds me of the KD14 which I absolutely loved.
Less stiffness in the flex zones will help, but you also need reduced cushion. Not by a lot, but enough so your ligaments and tendons aren’t overworked from constant compression and rebound.
I'm thinking an se model would be great with the problem areas addressed and the market wouldn't have to wait for the next one. I'm gonna stick to my kyrie 5s cause I get buckets 🪣 in those
That's how I am with my CJ2 and Kobe 5. I usually go between Kobe 6 and Wow10. But, for consistency and how I am feeling, I would go with CJ2 and Kobe 5 because they form my feet when heated. Kobe 6 to me always feels like I need to break it in when playing...Wow10 great shoe overall but sometimes I don't wanna be a gazelle lol.
I still can’t believe that this Bro’s subscribers is still under 1M. Should be 2M by how he gives some accurate reviews.

So yeah, instantly returned. I got the Luka 3's and 0 achilles soreness from a $70 cheaper shoe. Inexcusable.
My favorites quite awhile were the Kobe 9, but recently both the Two Way v3 and Kawhi 4 have been spot on for me
the shoe that fits me perfect is the jordan 5. i dont ball in it at all, but whenever i put on a pair, they just feel right.
I couldn’t believe how crazy the cushioning in the 39s feels underfoot. Makes them an amazing casual shoe, albeit an expensive one.
I always go back to the Kobe 4s! I love that shoe
I love the cushioning on this shoe. I have not tried to play ball in them though. It’s been mostly casual wear for me and I have both the Sol and Lumiere colorways. Great feedback on the performance review Chris!!! Get the ankle braces ready should I choose to ball in them..got it!
I gotta say my shoe that feels like it’s made for me was the Huarache 2k4 and the Kobe 4.
Love Jordan 13s, the fit, stability, design. Fantastic overall. Id like to try Nike Huarache 2k4s. Great content as always!
In 2008 the hyperdunk was the best shoe from Nike the amount of tech in that shoe was insane and the price 140 now for 200 you get the GT line !
Great review! Speaking of the love/hate thing, question of the day - what do you feel is the stronger emotion: love or hate?
The shoe that’s for me/works for me and it’s really grown on me was the YZY QNTM
The Lebron XI was that shoe for me. It was perfect as a widefooter, and the court feel as A1
The main thing i look for is the cushioning set up. My feet needs clouds because I cut hard on the court.
The instability issues didn’t bother me much and I really enjoyed the cushion and the fit.
cris please keep your on doing reviews, also for the algorithm😊
The 12 is definitely my all rounder, then the 13 comes after. Both great on and off the court!
Cushion, lockdown, materials (internal padding), stability, traction is great but not the best
Off court Jordan 13s hands down, my pair is beat up to the point where the heal counter is broken inside and I still wear it to this day
Seems like the perfect shoe for someone like me who loves max cushion setups like zoomx, loves the idea of wearing bball shoes casually and misses leather like Chris does. Unfortunately i am a wide footer but it might still work out like he said.
My peak as a player was when the AJ12 was out. Whenever I put on a pair of 12s, I feel like i can run through a wall.
My go to shoe is Kyrie or KDs. I'm excited to get the Jordan 39 for the cushioning
Air Jordan 32 in the MVP colorway has been my go-to for years. I might pull a Joe Ingles and continue to exclusively play in only that model.
For me the Nike Air Flight Lite II photon fit me perfectly as a wide footer and super comfortable.
I actually liked the Jordan 31 really much! Traction was bad but the shoe was mad comfortable and bouncy. Nowadays I have Puma and NB as my go to...
What about changing the insole, will it help?
I personally love the 31 (lows), they're still my go to shoes and I've had no problem with traction on the 3 pairs I use 🤞🏼
