    You have transformed this wall into something beautiful and useful too! It is so good to have all this free pallet wood and with some work getting them ready, you just need a good eye to put them to good use! Rustic charm, excellent for any space!

    Wow I love people who are creative. What an inspiration you are. I might do that to my shed. Thanks Jesper. I actually had a broken Ikea Wardrobe, the delivery guys broke it, so I used the wood to make a table in my shed and put the doors on the wall inside to hand my tools. Never waste wood ! Excellent I’ve been looking for a new wall just like that! I’ll add just one thing, my wall is next to my neighbors so I’m adding some insulation for sound deadening, she complains about noise when I run my power tools/loud music.

    Excellent job and a super ideal…
    That cost of almost nothing. Note that was one great thought out ideal.
    And it looks fantastic. The creatively you come up with is as always great ones.. and every time I go to the dump and see all the pallets and create boxes being thrown away..
    The first thing that comes to mind is you and your channel… keep up the great ideals and builds…..

    • @JesperMakes

      Thank you so much, yeah I don't like throwing out stuff that's still usable. Even despite the fact that we have sawmills and can mill some wood from logs to build from, I still think we should try to reuse as much wood as possible, and leave as many trees alive as we can.

    I love this! I will be doing this in my shop as well!

  •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hello Jesper,
    The workshop is getting better. You've created a beautiful pallet wall for tools. I also like to recycle. The workshop is now even more useful and beautiful. The colors of the pallet boards were also beautiful. Man, there's always something new to be done in the workshop. And we will always have work to do. Nice explanation and I watched the video. I'd like to see your tools hanged in another video. Thank you for sharing. See you. Stay healthy and happy. Big greetings. Kind regards. Your friend Mehmet

    • @JesperMakes
      @JesperMakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Mehmet, it's always nice to read your comments, and I'm also looking forward to the next step - putting, tools,, logo and stickers on the wall. Perhaps also have a small workbench with a vise there. And lights in the ceiling so I can see. You're right, theres always something to do. I like working there, so it's not an issue. Thank you for watching along in my progress. See you Mehmet.

      I feel the same way about Instagram, it's not really a place to keep things for a long time like TH-cam. I also agree editing video is a time and energy consuming process. But you are so visual in your storytelling with video, it would be a shame to loose that. Why don't you speak in japanese on your video, and subtitle them in english?

Loved the video mate, seemed like you've taken a bit of different approach cinematicly? Defintely noticed a far more upbeat vibe & some fancy camera work that I don't recognise from your previous videos. Really looking forward to your next creation mate, take care

      @JesperMakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't plan on making a video about the wall from the beginning, but I took a GoPro on Time warp mode with me while working on it, so that explains the different approach. I zoomed a bit in on the footage while editing, and moved the focus around. The music is just some drum tracks that I have separated from a song. Thanks for noticing! Hoes everything going with your new property?

    • @GumtreeHillWoodwork

      @@JesperMakes haha well to an amateur eye like mine I just assumed it was a planned approach & thoroughly enjoyed it regardless 😄 We are just about at the end of what has felt like a lifetime of wading through all the planning & permits stage Jesper, thanks for asking! I'm not familiar with how strict Denmark is but in Australia the local councils are very involved with what you can & can't do on your land ... it can turn into quite the back and forth with altering plans & resubmitting them to engineers etc etc... Nevertheless looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is only a week or so away. We have most of the materials to the workshop/temp home being delivered mid September, so at that point it should be full steam ahead & fingers crossed we can hopefully get in there before the end of the year 🤞🤞🤞

    It's 3 years later and my question is how well does this wall support the weight of things hanging on it? I want to do this in my shop, but am wondering if I need to screw the boards to the studs or are 18 or 16 gauge nails good enough? I too plan on making a tool wall. Obviously, for larger items like cabinets, I'll screw into the stud. It's for the other items I'm curious. Thank you and God bless.

    • @JesperMakes
      @JesperMakes  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’d go with screws for heavier items or anything you’ll pull on often, but for lighter stuff, 16-gauge nails should hold fine. Tool walls are life!

    • @woodandwheelz
      @woodandwheelz หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JesperMakes Thank you for your reply and advice. I might do part of it as a French Cleat wall. Those I will screw to the studs. I'm still gathering pallets for this, but if I make a video on it, and I most likely will, I'll definitely mention you as part of my inspiration to do it and link to your video. My biggest problem is that the way my shop was built, part of it is in the ground. The bottom 56 inches (about) is concrete block. That's the part that's under ground. The remaining wall is 2x4 studs that complete the wall to the ceiling. The problem is that the concrete wall is 3.5 inches wider than the 2x4's. I'm still debating do I want to build out the studs or just leave a small ledge. I'm leaning towards the ledge idea. Anyway, I really enjoy your videos and I'll mention you when I do mine. Stay safe my friend.

      It's just wood glue and a few nails from the nail gun. The nails are just below the surface, but it's the glue that holds the boards in the long run. Just cheap wood glue.

    I wonder if this can be done in bedroom. I’m worried about the chemicals which are in pallet wood. Especially the pallets that come from other continents.

      Make sure they have the HT stamp (heat treated) and you'll be good.

    Along with the tools, a few custom signs would be perfect.
    I'm going to do this with some of my flea market displays. If you get cable spools and take them apart without doing any cutting, the center boards have an outer curve to them. Do the same thing with those and with the right color of stain, it would look like the inside walls of a log home.
    Once again, great work Jesper!
    Do you have an email?

      Thanks, I have cable spools, do you have a picture of what it would look like? You can find my email in the about of my TH-cam channel, or message me on IG.

      @@JesperMakes No picture yet. Just kinda had an idea of what it would look like in my head, but want to try it on one of my flea market displays.

    I've never once seen a plywood shipping box. Anything that gets shipped to my poor country (USA) seems to come in a box made of cardboard. Oh, to live in Denmark...

    Why you use a musician keyboard stand like a work banch? It hurts me

    1 year too late for comment. You could have stopped some isolation behind the plywood panels.
