I heard this song at work while listening to Pandora and it blew me away. I actually shut the line down to see who was playing this song. I love it. AWESOME.
My Grandfather just died on the 17th,i was a pallbearer for his military burial on Wednesday....this is definitely hitting me hard. Thanks for what yall do!
Been a fan since the beginning, i cant believe the evolution of this band sonically, lyrically and just the overall artistic makeup of the group. Cant wait for the album.
What the actual fuck?? Absolutely incredible. Pallbearer’s growth has been amazing. This is fresh and beautiful. Also, what a fucking phenomenal mix! The sound is incredible!
I had the same reaction, except in the opposite direction 😂. What in the actual fuck is this. Take the four dudes in Pallbearer, minus doom, minus metal, and this is what you have I guess. Oh well.. I’m just like anyone who started listening to a band at the start of their career, in which they have since changed direction musically. Cant stay the same forever, and I wouldn’t expect it. Honestly not hating on it, and any of you that like this, congrats on sticking with them. But I’m certainly lost on whatever this is
What a track, wow. Brett with 9 string guitar and Devin with a Tele, this album is going to be absolutely amazing. "I feel my head going under", fucking love this band.
I guess that's why I couldn't get my tone right when I tried playing that clean riff during the interlude, just a 6 string with single high strings doesn't sound the same
Pallbearer is an enigma. I've never "liked" one of their songs or albums on first listen. But then a melody or riff will keep resurfacing in my mind and I'll feel the urge to go back and listen again. Without fail, I'll come to connect with their albums on a seriously personal level. It's like they write and release exactly what I need to hear, when I need to hear it. This song feels like Pallbearer meets David Bowie meets Elliott Smith. An absolutely perfect song. Can't wait to see them live in August.
With the exception of the album Heartless, which I loved pretty much instantly (especially Dancing in Madness), I totally agree. Their stuff is always such a trip, though. I find the really washy clean sections that they lean on come across with extreme vulnerability, and then the heavy sections hit HARD.
100k..bring it on..pass it on..set the world ablaze..from burning embers lets light the torches and stoke the fire..Where the light fades is the song I've been waiting for..
Pallbearer never failed to amaze, but this time they're taking it to another level. While having delivered some of the heaviest riffs in the universe, like the final one of "Worlds apart", it was always the heart-wrenching emotion that took me. Pallbearer sing their hearts out. When they sing something, they mean it. The drums are a thunder, always on point. Two clearly distinguishable guitars, from mountain - erasing doom force to searing sheer beauty. And, oh man, that bass. This otherworldly vibrating in the guts rather than the ears. Full of expression of feeling. A mix nothing short of perfect. And when you have the chance to meet them, they are the nicest of guys, down to earth, having a chat, warm beautiful human beings. How much some of us need Pallbearer - songs... hopefully they know. Making grown up men weep while watching their video or their gigs. Just wonderful. All ❤ to you! And to YOU, listeners of Pallbearer around the world.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never been a huge Pallbearer fan. They’ve never really been able to reel me in. That being said, along comes this single (and album). Just wow. Blown away, and now see the band through a different perspective. Congratulations gentlemen.
Just want to say that I love your guy's work. You all have been with me through some good times, and some hard times. Your music is always a welcome presence no matter the times. Keep going hard! You guys fucking rock.
I now have to come back to say thank you "Pallbearer" for making this. The last weeks I had (still in it) to go through relationship divorce and feeling really sad, confused, and helpless. so many times the only thing I could do was listening to this record over and over again and just let emotions come out. I cried a lot to it. the melodies combined with the heaviness are beyond beautiful. and the way the lyrics speak to me is crazy.. It's like therapy, also like a friend and now deeply connected to this phase of my life and I am so extremely grateful that you guys created this and released it at this moment in time. Much love, looking forward to see you live one day ❤ :)
Finally!! Great new sound, beautifully mixed, with nice drums. That ending riff is so soothing and strangely heavy, i'm so looking forward to the new album.
Wow. Speechless. Absolutely breathtaking track. Pallbearer just keep getting better and better! Already sounding like this new album is gonna be an AOTY contender.
"There is comfort here it's been so long. Rather hide away than face the day when things could change... Maybe we could fly but we never learn to grow our wings. Maybe heavens waiting but we'll never know from so far down....."
Damn, I love this -- Antimatter and "Hold Your Fire" era Rush vibes, combined with Pallbearer's distinctively soul-crushing melodicism. This album is going to rule.
These guys just get better with every album. And they were already amazing. Not going to lie, after the last seven years of my life this song laid me the f**k out!
Fantastic job to everyone involved in this. But I must say, that bass tone at the very end was the chef's kiss. It would've been easy to bury that in the mix, but I'm so happy it wasn't. Great song, great mix, great video, fantastic band.
Saw these guys before my whole world was up ended. Lost two angels, another struggling. Found one, lucky to have her, she keeps me here. Love her. If you're struggling, don't give up. Someone cares about you, even if you don't think they do. DON'T GIVE UP
Agreed, and that whole part leading up to it is so good too. "In the temple of twilight, the quiet home of temporary spaces, where the light fades. And a stillness overtakes, I can hear a void calling me, from somewhere deep down below." Amazing.
Incredible song by an incredible band. Their entire discography is absolutely amazing. What’s more amazing though, is how this band is not bigger than they are. It’s so fucked to me how a band can be this good and yet be so unknown to the masses.
Pallbearer seemingly stretches its musical wings with this years release, going softer and melodic, maybe in even grunge than doom as with the album title track - I must say I dig the fresh bold approach even if I'm a huge fan of Heartless and Fountains' more crushing takes. They stylistic change might disappoint some people but to me it's quite fascinating.
Without any exageration I've probably put in close to 20 spins into this single since it dropped. Absolutely obsessed with this song.
Rookie numbers you gotta get that up😂
Same here!! 🤜🤛
I did 20 spins the first day tbh
Shit’s amazing
The replay value is there friends
Ok. It took me about 3 listens to say “Hell yeah, brother”. But here I am on listen number 29 saying “Fuck yes, brethren”.
I can not wait to hear this live, and to cry through their whole set.
This is jaw-droppingly beautiful.
Sorry dude, it's been 17 years since I lost my Grandpa. Stay strong and never forget him. 🙏
@@noogie1TY...i will do my best.
Sorry for your loss, man.
Been a fan since the beginning, i cant believe the evolution of this band sonically, lyrically and just the overall artistic makeup of the group. Cant wait for the album.
I’ve been listening to this over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
So beautiful
Me too, I keep coming back to it.
It's the only song I've heard for 5 days now..got me completely obsessed. Amazing track. Feels like it speaks to me directly.
Same. So, so good.
Over and Over
same here. therapy
These lyrics are hitting way to damn close to home..
Right?
Here as well. Powerful.
💯
What the actual fuck?? Absolutely incredible. Pallbearer’s growth has been amazing. This is fresh and beautiful. Also, what a fucking phenomenal mix! The sound is incredible!
Yeah dude, the mix is really well done
So big and spacious but tight at the same time. Fucking beautiful mix.
Couldn’t agree more!!!!!

Too many words...

Those guitar riffs make my heart ache . There's this beautiful emptiness in between that just adds to everything going on . I love this so much .
couldn't ask for a better song for this dark point in my life

I feel the exact same way. I'm like meh at first and then a day or two passes and I can hear the riffs reverberating in my head! Great stuff 😎
With the exception of the album Heartless, which I loved pretty much instantly (especially Dancing in Madness), I totally agree. Their stuff is always such a trip, though. Saw em, loved it.

Can't stop listening to this, its so beautiful, emotional and the build is just a masterclass
One of my favorite bands....no one will understand
A song hasn't made me cry in a long time. Thank you.
Nothing that's new in music that's for sure. They've really tapped into a deeper level with their new direction. Awesome. Epic track
what a beautiful song!

All ❤ to you!
And to YOU, listeners of Pallbearer around the world.
I can’t remember the last time I heard something so beautiful.
This song became my alarm clock ringtone since it was released. Every day even if for a few seconds I listen to Pallbearer.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never been a huge Pallbearer fan. They’ve never really been able to reel me in. That being said, along comes this single (and album). Just wow. Blown away, and now see the band through a different perspective. Congratulations gentlemen.

Sounds like this album could be their best yet. Unexpected direction, but absolutely crushingly beautiful. I love it.
Beautiful, made me cry, 78 year old man from England. Fuck.
How can heavy metal be this beautiful?
Finally!! Great new sound, beautifully mixed, with nice drums. That ending riff is so soothing and strangely heavy, i'm so looking forward to the new album.

Beyond hyped for this album. Pallbearer is such an incredible band.
Wow. Speechless. Absolutely breathtaking track. Pallbearer just keep getting better and better! Already sounding like this new album is gonna be an AOTY contender.
This has the same power and emotion as some of my favorite Pallbearer tracks. Psyched for this one!
"There is comfort here it's been so long. Rather hide away than face the day when things could change... Maybe we could fly but we never learn to grow our wings. Maybe heavens waiting but we'll never know from so far down....."
My favorite band. Couldn't be more excited to hear
this album
This hearkens back to the Prog-bearer days! I like it a lot!
i was taking a nap with youtube vids after a conflict and this woke me up, i think this is a sign, beautiful song
Need this album now
This band is just fucking amazing.
Whoa. Already one of my favorite bands but this one blew me away.
They did something very different and they nailed it, beautiful track, can't wait for the album
This is great! 💯
Goddamn voice of an angel. Glad to exist at the same time as this band.
Damn, I love this -- Antimatter and "Hold Your Fire" era Rush vibes, combined with Pallbearer's distinctively soul-crushing melodicism. This album is going to rule.
Big Peter Gabriel and Porcupine Tree vibes on these vocals and the acoustic lead in. Love it!
Not to mention Geddy Lee
Good ear. A couple Peter Gabriel tracks were on a list of songs that inspired this tune, that pallbearer posted today on their socials.
@@YoolSea one song from Rush’s album Grace Under Pressure, “Afterimage” rest in peace, Neil Peart btw !
These guys just get better with every album. And they were already amazing. Not going to lie, after the last seven years of my life this song laid me the f**k out!
Kinda reminds me of Soen. Pallbearer's evolutionary journey goes on. Thank you guys from Italy!
Agree, his voice and mellow parts definitely remind me of Soen! Very good point there, Sir! 👍😅
Beautiful! Some serious ''Watching From A Distance"" (Warning) vibes in this track!!!
Holy shit, you guys are AMAZING! Been listening since 2017, what a pleasure! Yous guys always put your hearts out in every album!
Absolutely stunning and beautiful. Great ending with that melody and heavyness!
This should be the song of this summer
The song is crushingly Beautiful the music itself turns on the Waterworks
They're back! 💜 Can't wait to hear this live some day.
Pallbearer always delivers
Absolutly fabulous !!!
Wow......just awesome. And when those synths pop in! Mind blown. Can't wait for the full album.
Fantastic job to everyone involved in this. But I must say, that bass tone at the very end was the chef's kiss. It would've been easy to bury that in the mix, but I'm so happy it wasn't. Great song, great mix, great video, fantastic band.
Gorgeous track, it cuts deep as hell.
Their evolution is incredible.
Been an incredibly tough year, I see new Pallbearer and I instantly change my tune. 🙏
Saw these guys before my whole world was up ended. Lost two angels, another struggling. Found one, lucky to have her, she keeps me here. Love her. If you're struggling, don't give up. Someone cares about you, even if you don't think they do. DON'T GIVE UP
Best sounding Pallbearer so far, simply beautiful
I had a long trip last night thinking about life, the universe, and everything, and this song is the perfect psychedelic cap to the experience.
So lyrical and poetic song
Awesome track. Love the gradual buildup and release of tension at the end. Excellent.
Feel my head goin under.. best lyric of the year so far.
Agreed, and that whole part leading up to it is so good too. "In the temple of twilight, the quiet home of temporary spaces, where the light fades. And a stillness overtakes, I can hear a void calling me, from somewhere deep down below." Amazing.
Phenomenal stuff 🔥
Incredible song by an incredible band. Their entire discography is absolutely amazing.
What’s more amazing though, is how this band is not bigger than they are. It’s so fucked to me how a band can be this good and yet be so unknown to the masses.
Proggy, fkn love this so much

The last song on the new album is as heavy as anything they've done, wish it was longer
Kind of going on alice in chains direction.
That’s amazing.
Such an amazing track! So melodic and haunting.
Oh my God what a beautiful song😁
Absolute fucking banger Pallbearer, another perfect song
I`m awaiting a new album already!
It's looking good.
I listen to this song over and over again. I feel pleasure in my soul. Everything sounds nice.😎
Amazing
Discovered these guys last year. Glad I did, they make some dope ass music 💯
It's been a while since i have goosebumps and this growth of sound from this band delivers...incredible...fucking incredible
This one means something.
What a jam boys
comforting.
Yeah, that's absolutely the feeling I get listening to this. This touches on a much deeper level.
Thanks a lot.
