i don’t fault ox for anything really, injuries stole his liverpool career. he showed what he could do before the injuries. wish him well in what ever happens in the summer
It's clear that Ox's time at Liverpool is coming to an end. Whether we sell him this summer or let him leave on a free next summer, he's not getting his contract extended. He's never been my favourite player on the pitch, but as a person he's been a great asset to Liverpool FC. His big personality, professionalism and upbeat attitude has really helped the dressing room, and that part of Ox will be missed. But even that now looks to be waning as he probably realises that he's not going to be playing at LFC much longer and his career at the club hasn't worked out to what he had initially envisaged.
I remember drifty saying our season over after the Brighton draw at home 😂😂😂 we love you bro need your opinion would be boring if we all agreed all the time #ynwa
I dont know why Cal & Matt look down on Neco Williams, he's got qualities to be great. Doesn't matter if he hasn't lived up to it, the way it works is you look at a guys quality and you see whether it has great potential. So far Neco has shown it. I also dont get why people are craving over Carvalho but then matt goes ''where is Neco playing at, Fulham...'' Also Matt you basically implied Klopp thinks Neco isn't good enough since he's loaned him out, thats not what klopp would think. He sent him out on loan because he knows well that Neco has good potential. Remember this, Neco Is going to be an absolute great RB and watch how fans crave over him when he starts to prove it for real.
Absolutely spot on mate, I think when we have the worlds best RB playing every week and then we see the drop off to Neco people overreact, if you keep in mind his age and who you're comparing him to it's easy to be critical but I think they have bad performances from when he was 17/18 in the back of their minds when they say he isn't good enough.
I think the problem Neco has is that he isn't Trent and he never will be. Trent is a midfielder that plays RB and as a result he plays unconventionally and it works. Whereas Neco is a conventional RB and is quite imo. He's quick, he can defend, reads the game well, gets up and down flanks really. His crossing is from the by line and he can't cross from deep, but he can work on that.
Great show as usual! I have to confess, when Liverpool where 14 points behind city, I never thought / felt the league was done.looking at the table, we had only lost two games but a higher number of Dre’s than city. At some point city would drop points, not losers but draw a couple. They got away with it against Everton so we could have been too with 69 points each but our goal difference is better.
I agree totally with your comments guys about what happens when you criticise someone on our team and you get is hatred. I must say with respect that you may be to blame on occasions yourselves, especially Drifty with respect to Origi. Any criticism or him was met with people having an agenda against him. You tend to paint every member of the fan base the same. I don’t like Origi but I would never hate on him because he is one of us. But all I heard was people who don’t like him have an agenda. There will always be players you will personally think are not good enough for the club. As long as your respectful that’s fine but I don’t like being told I have an agenda when I feel I’m telling the truth. Ignore the haters because decent level headed people get exactly what your saying it’s the idiots who go crazy on social media when a player misses a good chance or makes a mistake that I hate. We are LFC for life thru thick and thick thin. Love the show love you guys keep on doing what your doing YNWA
Oxlade is in no position to be complaining. He has been given so many chances and yet rarely had a big game performance. Needs to be moved on in the summer with Milner, Taki, while transitioning Henderson into a squad role.
How many minutes has Ox played this season. Besides when Mane and Salah were gone has he played consecutive games? When he played consecutively his performs were good. But I understand were u coming from
A player being given sporadic appearances is hardly getting chances. When Ox was more involved this season he was actually good. Some people too keen to write players off
@@sivathondara3190 He played more than the players Cal has compared to. He's been good in moments and 1 or 2 games as far as I can remember. Good show guys! Cal your stats on Ox's minutes were illuminating bcz I didn't realize either!! You & Drift explained his situation perfectly from all sides. The only missing side would be if Klopp had "promised" to integrate him back more given he's shown his fitness is stable now. I still think he's a fragile player & Klopp is maybe afraid of another setback. I'm a fan of Ox the guy, but on the pitch I have seen a player who appears out of place. And that's since he's return to fitness. When Tyler Morton looks better than you on the pitch that's a problem
How much we paid for him, we shud be getting more from him but the truth is Klopp's midfield requires a different profile to what Ox is. We need midfielders w technical ability, cleverness in possession, who can play across the entire middle. Defensively aware & extremely DURABLE. This is Klopp's engine-room
It’s crazy people are calling Ox a flop. As an arsenal fan I can say for 2-3 years Ox was top quality. He’s won trophies which he wouldn’t have at arsenal. Liverpool fans need to have some perspective on being at the top and who got you there.
I actually think Ox can be a better squad player than Naby!! He can fill in multiple positions were as Naby can’t!! Ox can even be converted into an RB IMO!!!
We are doing what we need to do. We are able to use our entire squad to get the results we are looking for. We would not use reserve players when we play city! When we play at a higher level, injuries happen. So as one of the best 2 teams in the world, we are able to use all of our squad. YNWA
Ox’s time is simply up. The easiest decision for me honestly. I really think he’d be good at a side like Brentford but his wages are too WILD for them.
Sometimes you just have to GRIND OUT RESULTS. In a way it shows progress. Two seasons ago Liverpool couldn't grind out like they did against West Ham and Nottingham Forest.
Here is my take on the Ox situation. IMO, the squad is a little bit too large at the moment. Hence why I say, if Salah signs there would not be a need to buy anyone in the summer. The club will just need to sell. Let me explain. Ox's minutes is limited because of Neco, Milner, Elliott, Jones, Henderson, Minamino and Origi. The thing is, at the moment there is no back #6. Henderson is the 2nd best #6 and yet he starts as the right sided 8. For Ox to get more minutes, atleast two of Neco, Milner, Origi and Minamino have to be moved on...assuming we're keeping Ox. The reality is, the squad has to be trimmed and positions [i.e back up] will need sorting out. Here's what I would do. I'd sell Neco, Origi and Minamino. Milner would be the back up RB and Henderson would be the back up #6. GK - Alisson, Kelleher, Adrian RB - Trent, Milner CB - Matip, Konate CB - VVD, Gomez LB - Robbo, Tsimikas #6 - Flacco, Hendo #8 [right sided] - Keita, Ox #8 [left sided] - Thiago, Jones RW - Salah, Elliott [yes, Harvey Elliott as Salah's back up] CF - Mane, Firmino LW - Diaz, Jota This is 23 players, which means there are 2 slots available. Given the injury history with those listed midfielders another midfielder should be brought in [Gravenberch/Bissouma etc] and also possibly, an emergency CB option. NB: This is assuming Ox is being kept. So Taki, Origi, Neco and Nat Philips would be moved on to raise funds for that midfielder. Sepp or Rhys could cover as the emergency CB in this instance. It seems likely Origi will be moved on, Bournemouth might keep Nat Phillips and Neco won't want to play back up to Trent, so i'm expecting him to be moved on to Fulham perhaps. Which leaves Taki. If he is kept, then Elliott moves to midfield and Taki back up to Salah. The thing is, if this happens then Elliott would cover that Gravenberch/Bissouma slot in midfield. So assuming Taki stays, that's 24 players, one slot left. Personally, I would still buy that Gravenberch/Bissouma type player and let Henderson be the emergency CB option [He played there last year, he seemed capable enough imo] and that Gravenberch/Bissouma type player would back up Flacco. [And potentially even start alongside Flacco too if good enough, but you get the idea, most of these players play multiple positions]. [Just a side note though, I believe Keita could be decent back up #6...but I don't hear anyone even considering it, so anyways] That would allow Morton, Gordon, Sepp, Rhys, Billy the kid etc to continue there development out on loan. So essentially, the question being asked here... is do we want to keep Ox or Taki? ***Please note this is just my opinion on the matter. It is assuming Salah signs the contract, no one else from the core group is moved on and other players currently out on loan such as Woodburn and Ojo aren't considered. Additionally, Fabio Carvalho could also throw a spanner in the works.
I am liking this because you must have spent forever writing this. I did read it and disagree though on a few things. IMO Ox, Origi and Phillips should be moved on - Just them (well and Neco only if we’d replace him).
@@nkululekongwenya5936 alright cool bro. I did say I'd move them on though, anyways. There is another issue, and that is the homegrown quota. That may boost Ox's chances of being kept for another season atleast
I just watched the best PL goals for LFC on Sky. Wow! Highly recommend it for any fans who still remember that we had players who could actually shoot and score from outside the 18 yard box. This is something we have lost in this squad which is a real weakness. Nobody wants to take responsibility and take on a player and shoot when the opportunity is there. Poor control and shooting has crept into our game. Instead we want to walk it in and score inside the 6 yard box. Also stop with the bloody head tennis! So frustrating.
