This 30-40 second solo is way better than most guitar solos I hear today... They just don't have that magic--the melody, tone, dynamics..it's not the same anymore. Nowadays its just playing as many notes as you can instead of creating melodic phrases and having rests between the notes.

Duff, Slash and Matt are a powerhouse together, Gilby might not be Izzy, but he does an amazing job with the others and I'm sure Dizzy and Melissa wouldn't mind! Objectively speaking Axl's a has-been. The out of breath Mickey Mouse voice he has nowadays is not up to standard. He should've retired from singing back in 06, sparking us from Chinese Democracy as well. That's what life on the road, age and years of heavy smoking does to your voice. The only rock/metal singer I can think of that have actually cared for his voice is Bruce Dickinson. Never smoked, never had any problems with substance abuse and always kept himself active, as well as having great technique. Sure, his voice has aged as well, but he still sounds good, especially at age 62
