Today I went to mechanic and they told that two opening cylinder needs to be changed and they quoted AU$2700 for two cylinder.
You are my life saver.

Super helpful. We got the car back from the mechanic today after a service but the rear door wouldn't open and we just got the 'two beeps'. Turns out he must have knocked the locking button and, thanks to this video it was easily fixed. Mr Torque you do indeed rule the school!
So happy I could help, Murray! Would have been frustrating heading back to the mechanic saying "mate! the door won't open what did you do!" haha
@@TalkingTorque Thanks, yes it was frustrating indeed - almost as frustrating as trying to slide kids' cricket kitbags into the back through the rear seat . The mechanic was at something of a loss and was fumbling with the logbook while I tried a Google search and your video came up. Winner winner chicken dinner.

You are a lifesaver, I was scanning it for trouble codes the scanner did not find any codes everything looks normal. Until I saw your video about the switch next to the glove compartment and it was off. The Toyota dealership just replaced the cabin filter and I think they turned off by mistake or just wanted a diagnose to rip-off people not sure. I should sue them because they wasted my time trying to figure it out🤣😅😂🤣😅😂. Thanks for the info tho. Now works like a charm 👍👍👍👍👍

Legend! I knew about the back boot glass lift being an issue but was so stumped as to why it stopped working following a car service - I guess the technician accidentally turned that glovebox button off. Thanks for sharing

hi, last time it happen i reset the button and it worked, this time i did both steps and its still not opening making 2 beeb sound, is there other thing can check ?

@@TalkingTorque I posted this in my Toyota Highlander group on Facebook and I found out that all the doors have to be unlocked first That's why it wasn't working all this time 🤦.. I'll leave this in case it helps somebody else!!!
