I had a gap due to my sunken nose bridge with my ESS crossbow - what I found as a resolution was replacing the original nose piece with larger one. This solved my issue with the gap at the nose bridge. Hope this helps!

Out of curiosity, what nose piece did you use to replace it? I agree that would be the best way to fix this if you can find the part.

So, I'm having the same issue with the nose gap thing. I've got the newer version (molded rubber rather than printed) for an ESS crossbow. To be fair, without any seal the glasses on their own leave a bit of gap on the bridge of my nose, but with the VMAX there isn't really much there to add any kind of seal around the nose. I have noticed that if I flex the glasses outwards a bit (away from my face), then the VMAX/glasses close up most of that gap. So, it seems like maybe the gasket on the right and left sides is actually pushing the classes away from my face, creating the gap around the nose.
I think for me to use these I'll have to use mouth pro that covers that up or add something to fill the space like you did with the tape.
Thanks for posting this review! I was beginning to think I had a weird head! :D

Well I guess I'm not the only one anymore. I still use the duct tape trick to cover the gap and always make sure to use the lanyard with it to keep it tight to my face. It keeps it full seal and it's use with an exfog keeps the fogging down.

If you have a balaclava with built in mesh, it should cover that gap around the nose. It covers my nose well on my standard ESS goggles. If I can use the ESS ICE prescription inserts with the ESS Crossbow, I may have to try this.

I've fixed the issue with some tape. It should also be mentioned Valhalla has made the final mold for these inserts, giving a different finish quality and potential conformity. As of now, I'm still the only one I know of who is having this issue so hopefully it's just me or a quality control issue with this earlier design.
