Peated whisky made nice, even for me. What do you think about this one? What is the best Ardbeg for you? Please remember to like share and subscribe. ❤
I´ll take the ten year old over these special releases all the time. But Ardbeg can really package a high ABV in an all around nice drink in my opinion, like the Uigeadail for example.
@@BadenBattleBasethis one is so much better than the 10 for me but the price is just crazy. If it was cheaper or the same as the the 10 I would buy a case. Thanks for watching.
I really enjoy Ardbeg's BizarreBQ Gert and I agree with a lot of your wonderful review! The BizarreBQ was more enjoyable for me that the Ten and that surprised me because I love the Ten but this expression is so good! The cost blows me away. No one likes getting goudged. You are absolutely right that the BizarreBQ doesn't drink like a NAS. The sweetness and the spice are delicious together and I imagine a lovely BBQ with a couple of drams of this beautiful whisky! This is perfect to pair with a BBQ and steaks! I think it's very overpriced and although I do buy Ardbeg and it's a favourite, I get annoyed by the jacked up prices. I love the peat and the ABV in this expression. It's terrific! I was just looking to see if any is available in Canada right now and it's sold out. Perfect description of nosing and the lovely flavours on the palette! Despite the price I am happy I am genuinely happy that I bought the BizarreBQ! It does being delicious enjoyment! I think my favourite Ardbeg is the UIG. I just love the sherry and eat together! For me it's hard to beat! Thanks for the awesome review! Loved it! Cheers! 🙂
Thanks for the feedback. If it was not that expensive I would have bought a couple of them Max 100 euro.
Great video as usual :) My favorite ardbeg is the uigeadail for sure. Nice peat with the sherry.
Cheers. Appreciate the kind words. I have reviewed the uigeadail but that was 2 years ago. cannot remember it. Have to try it again.
Best Ardbeg for me has to be ardbeg uigeadail. I got a bottle of bizzarebq and it was ok. Not the best Ardbeg out there but decent. Cheers.
I had the Uigeadail about 2 years ago so the memory is not going that far back. But this one I really enjoyed. Even better than the 10 for me. Thanks for watching mate. Really appreciate it.
When this was released from the cask info I thought I'd like it then I tried it and I loved it! This is a fantastic success for Ardbeg, especially compared to all the mediocre stuff they've been releasing lately. That price tag seems ridiculous Gert, it's 68 euros in my market!
Wow mate. That is a great price.
Oh, I'll have to track this fella down and give it a whirl. We go through a few bottles of the Wee Beastie each year. Cheers to ya!
You will definitely like this one
I always like your reviews, feels like you’re here talking to me.
Wow mate I really appreciate your comment. Glad you like it. Cheers
I would recommend this one to those that are familiar with the Ardbeg profile and are cognizant of what Ardbeg can do. This is a complex whisky, not profile wise, but character-wise. The neck pour misleads you dramatically, have to let it breath and wait on the shelf for a while to get all the original profile.
Definitely agree with you on giving it time. The same on all of their expansions. The 10 year old for me was just perfect after half the bottle. Thanks for your input and feedback. Much appreciated
@@WhiskyLoversSociety thank you for the great content. Cheers

My favorite Ardbeg is the Kelpie, I love the brine that stuff brings. I own a bottle of this but its not yet opened. Had a drop from a friend and got a bottle immediately. My favorite non-standard bottling from Ardbeg since Kelpie!
Never tried that one. Let me know what you think about this one
Yes the delicious brine from the Kelpie is wonderful!
@@christinecamley I will see if i can get some to try
@@WhiskyLoversSociety Oh yes, if you can find some Ardbeg UIG, a sample or a bottle, please grab it! I think you will really enjoy it! I new I loved bourbon casks but wow do I love sherry as well and this is such a delicious expression!! I am so glad that you got the BizarreBQ!! Now if only we could get Ardbeg to lower their prices! LOL!!! Have a good day my friend!! Cheers!! 🙂
@@christinecamley cheers. Did a review 2 years ago on the Uig
Compared with other recent special releases, I was quite pleasantly surprised by BizarreBQ, but not enough to buy a bottle (even at the retail price of £76). However, I have been lucky enough to taste several Ardbegs from back when they had their own malting floor (so we're talking 1970s) and nothing distilled more recently has come close. But saying that my favourites are Lord of the Isles and Provenance (or even the Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice distilled 1974 bottled 1996) wouldn't be much help if €200 is already a lot...
Agree. I do like it but not paying €200 for a bottle. Appreciate your comprehensive feedback. Always nice to get your opinion.
I've been on the fence with this one for quite a long time. Ardbeg have been very hit or miss lately but this one does sound better and the price for me in the UK is £76... much lower than all the recent committee releases... but still nearly twice the price of the 10yo... hmmm... Your review has pushed me a little closer to pulling the trigger but I think I'll hold out for a little longer in the hopes of finding a sample 🙂 Cheers Gert 🥃
That is a good price. Definitely hit and miss for me as well.
I've bought this one for 100 euros, I know it's not a bad price, but I still haven't got a chance to open it. I also bought heavy vapors, and that travel exclusive one liter bottle. I even bought the 13 yo special series. Again, I love Ardbeg, and I love to collect it, but when it comes to opening those bottles, I'm not doing very well... 😀
😂😂. I know the feeling. I have way too many unopened bottles.
95e or 99e for a bottle I paid. I have two. I really liked it.
That’s a much better price.
I would like to hear your thoughts when comparing Ardbeg BizarreBQ to Ardbeg Scorch...both claim to be similar and have a smokey, meaty taste. I like that the sherry cask influence adds a sweetness to BizarreBQ.
Haven’t tried that one yet. Will keep an eye out for it. Thanks for watching.
I have never seen this bottle in near my location nor in any big cities in India
It is a limited edition. But you should be able to find it online in the uk. But it will be very expensive to ship.
@@WhiskyLoversSociety online selling/buying of alcohol from abroad is prohibited in India due to excise law and government duties
@@vimalrajkappil wow. That is sad. At least there is some great whisky made in India.
@@WhiskyLoversSociety yup that's true..there is a Trade deal negotiation going on between India and UK..and the one of the highlight of The deal is reducing the duty and other things on importing Scotch..so let's see how things going on coming days
@@vimalrajkappil Since Brexit it is crazy expensive for me to buy whisky in the UK. The duties and taxes make it unaffordable. Hope you get a better deal
