Britt . . . Black Sabbath was in a lane by themselves. Alot of people just called it "devil music". But, if you listen to the words . . . it has deep meaning. One song to check out, by Black Sabbath is WAR PIGS. Listen to the words, very powerful.
Yeah - I love the whole "devil music" garbage. If given the opportunity I try to get them to listen to After Forever just to see the stupefied look on their faces or simply recite some of their lyrics like poetry. Although, I have to say, I felt pretty giddy getting the 666th like on a this reaction! 🤣
Ozzy and Kelly which is his daughter she was on that show The Osborne's there's a video out of him and her singing this song it's pretty awesome

This was from the last world tour before retiring Black Sabbath with the last ever show with the band home in Birmingham, England, UK. "Changes" is a song that Black Sabbath wrote back in the early 70's and it first appeared on the album Vol. 4, which was released in 1972.
I'm actually surprised how good Ozzy sounds here. Goes to show that he really is an amazing singer with a very unique voice. But yes, his early stuff definitely had a smoother sound. But not bad for pushing 70 years old at this time!
nobody sounds like Ozzy, as soon as you hear his voice, you know it's him. These guys were the granfather's of Heavy Metal. Now this song is a slow ballad an it's not very heavy metal, but these guys rocked out, back in early 70's and set a new sound of music, that nobody had heard before. True Legends
I became aware of this band as a school kid around 1970, always been on the top of my list, still enjoy listening. Wonderful to see a younger generation also enjoy the classics. Thanks.
My all-time favorite singer. I've always loved his voice and after all these decades he still sounds about the same. With all of his health issues, self-inflicted for the most part, it's a wonder he's still with us. It will be an incredibly sad day when he passes, for me and all of his fans. Although he with Black Sabbath are one of the original metal bands (we were told metal music was evil and that metal bands were devil worshippers) he just seems like a very sweet man who just wants to perform and make people happy. Love Ozzy!!
There should be a version of this from the 70's that is a lot better than this. Ozzy is the only person you cannot understand a thing he says when he talks but its crystal clear when he sings
1st arena concert i ever attended was February 14th 1996 at The Palace of Auburn Hills(where the pistons played). My mother took me to the Black Sabbath farewell tour.
The fact that there is an adult who doesn’t know who ozzy is is absolutely mind blowing for me. He was everywhere when I was growing up which wasn’t that long ago. I’m only a few years older than you are lol
Yes, that's Ozzy Osbourne singing. The guy on piano is the great lead guitar player and songwriter for Black Sabbath, Tony iommi (eye-OWE-me) who invented metal, and the guy on the synth is the great bass player, Geezer Butler, who wrote the lyrics for Black Sabbath.
Hey Britt, if I am not mistaken I have 10 yrs wisdom on you, I was born in 1976. My dad grew up listening to this music. When I was 12 I bought a tape of Sabbath's greatest hits. I was listening to it and this song was playing as my dad walked passed my open bedroom door, he steeped back to my door and asked who it was I was listening to and he said he listened to them all the time back in the day. OK I'll stop boring you, lol. The point is, great music never dies. Teenagers will be discovering Sabbath, Pink Floyd, and Falling In Reverse till the end of time.
The version of this that he does with his daughter, Kelly, blows this away. It's dad losing his baby girl to growing up. It rips me every time I hear it.
"Donny"..... I screamed. You keep being you, it's 1000% refreshing. You're personality and honesty makes watching your channel fun. Also, if montages make you emotional, don't watch Ozzy's Ordinary Man official mv.
In the early 90s, Black Sabbat came to visit us in St. Petersburg in Russia, he was at a concert but without Ozzy, and so we listened to them back in the Soviet Union
Black Sabbath were an English rock band formed in Birmingham. Following the break-up of their previous band, Mythology, in 1968, guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward sought to form a heavy blues rock band in Aston, Birmingham England. They enlisted bassist Geezer Butler and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.
Sabbath is STILL the best metal band ever - the heaviest way before it's time. Legends! I suggest the "Rehearsal video" of The Wizard. It shows how they didn't lose a step and Ozzy on harmonica. The whole band slays it
Bear in mind Ozzy's age in 2017. Still good... I last saw him live in 2013 and he could still sing well. Amazing how many people know Ozzy only from the TV show but then I guess why would everyone know him from his 1970s fame? Ozzy had/has a unique voice in rock history. This song is on the first Black Sabbath album I bought and heard. I was amazed there were these fantastic big heavy songs, then in between them this beautiful, sad ballad.
I saw them live in 2005. They all performed together at Ozzfest. All the original members of Black Sabbath. It was something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime. They f*cking dominated that stage that night
This was one of my favorite songs from 6th grade when vol 4 came out, my very first album. This took on a different meaning while I watched cancer ravage the love of my life until it took her after a three battle.
Great song but he wasn't that young when it came out , it was after Black Sabbath and after his best solo albums .He is just so old it seems like he must of been young then lol .
It’s always funny to me to see the man who calls himself the Prince of Darkness is one of the most beloved person by his fans. I also love seeing the people of all generations that love the music 😊
For me, there is nothing like hearing this band for the first time again through the ears of someone else. You rediscover how great a band really was. You should hear Ozzy do The Wizard in studio. He plays harmonica. Another great song is Fairies Wear Boots. So different in style but the same band. They were not one trick ponies.
Ozzy was told by doctors that he has to retire. His son Jack has a paranormal show. And a show called The Osborne¹s want to believe. Jack shows Ozzy and Sharon different paranormal clips. They commit and rate them. It's so funny
This is a heavy one he re-recorded it with Kelly later on but the live version is the best let me know I love Kelly I'm glad they did the song together really helped her out and I love the whole family but yeah this one it's hard to swallow it's beautiful but it's very haunting and it's very hard to swallow because that's what real pain is Love you buddy❤
Masters of Reality is their masterpiece in my mind , one side is the Light and the other is the Darkness . He redid this song in a duet with his daughter Kelly when they both got sober .The video tribute part was for Geezer Butler
I'm not sure if you have (I searched) listened to Ozzy and his daughter sing this together but it's very good. Probably a song I will dance with my daughter at her wedding.
As Patrick already stated, but needs repeating Ozzie is the ONLY person that you can clearly understand when he sings. But when he's talking it's like listening to an alien.
Not sure if you will see this comment but there is\was an artist who do a covered of this song which is amazing and will make you cry. If you get a chance check out Charles Bradley's cover of Changes. Bradly passed away in 2017 and Release the remake a year before he pasted away.
When Black Sabbath first came out their songs just jumped out at you and in 1970 their album went number one and yet radio stations just hated them and would not put their music on the air because they thought it was too evil and sinister but Black Sabbath didn't care they just wanted to scare the hell out of people but I think they were trying to scare people into reality everyone was into rainbows flowers and stuff and they didn't have anything against that but they just wanted to let people know what else was out there and that was scary stuff
If you want to hear a truly surprising song by Black Sabbath listen to "After Forever" For the people that say Black Sabbath is devils music....this song will show differently.
We are all crated in God's image. Even when someone sells their soul for fame & riches they cannot help but produce beautiful music in the name of our Lord.
Sometimes musicians and poets speak from a different perspective than their own. A friend, a colleague, an idea. It may not relate to to their own life. They may just be empathetic.
I'm subbed. But catching up. You also did the Charles Bradley cover? Charles is brilliant but he changes it a bit to be about bereavement. Black Sabbaths was more about love lost? Also brilliant. Takes on a bit more meaning once again now Ozzie is struggling a bit? If you didnt know Ozzie was in a band/singer you ABSOLUTELY must check out more stuff. Please don't allow yourself or others just to remember him as this guy on a tv family reality show. PLEASE?
Britt . . . Black Sabbath was in a lane by themselves. Alot of people just called it "devil music". But, if you listen to the words . . . it has deep meaning. One song to check out, by Black Sabbath is WAR PIGS. Listen to the words, very powerful.
