Honestly Syrup Bomb sounds like a great way to use trick rooms mechanic of slowest goes first. Since if you have a decently fast Mon that wouldn’t benefit from trick room you use syrup bomb and this causes that Mon to be viable in trick room
@cyndaquil1433 could also work well on slow defiant pokemon, since they're slow they'll not care about their speed being lower, and they'll get an attack boost each turn
Grass has always been a decent utility type. While having the most weaknesses in game is awful, it somehow finds a way to resist what it needs to, while having a ton of good moves like Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, Spore, Sleep Powder, Rafe Powder, etc.
@@Endershock1678 so Grass is a good type with another one usually, yeah that sounds about right. The most I'd really heard of Grass type wise was Rillaboom, Amoungus, and Ferrothorn. Being able to give Grass typing with Terastilazation definitely helped also I think
@@Endershock1678true. Part of the reason why grass’s typing is important is what it does resist. Ground is one of hardest types to deal with with only bug and flying being the only other types that stand up to it. Dragon resists fire, so it's just regular damage. This thing can be built bulky so it should be able to eat atleast one fire blast. Those weaknesses are really helpful to bait people tho, it makes a great regenerator core with Toxapex in singles. Hydrapple is 2x to Poison, Bug, Flying, Fairy, and Dragon while being 4x to Ice. 4 of those types are pretty relevant tho. Which is why I always use it with Toxa. It's pretty funny.
I feel so betrayed seeing it named Hydrapple instead of Hydrapplin & not being a Bug-Dragon. Like Gamrfreak, that apple is the shell of the creature inside. I thought that DOES NOT decide its typing, like Florges isn't a Grass type for the reason that it wears the flowers, so what's with Hydrapplin, sorry, HYDRAPPLE!

I can see it being used with venasaur. Hydrapple has super sweet syrup, lowers evasion. So you switch hydrappe into a sun setter (let's say torkoal) and venasaurs chlorophyll activities. Now you have a speedy 100/% accurate sleep powder Mon. But yeah apart from that hydrapple is just outclassed
@@TheBestWooper honestly outclassed isn't how I'd put it. To me in as a stand alone it is very strong. Its just at the end of the day I think the meta it is going into is not good for it. Kind of like how urshifu makes it too difficult for defensive setup unless you are shell armor.
Dipplin has the exact same stat total as Flapple and Appletun, both of which are solid Pokemon on their own. So my question is which would be better: Hydrapple or Dipplin + Eviolite?
