Yelagiri & Ambur - Weekend Getaway from Bangalore | Hill Station and Best place for Leather shopping

- Yelagiri is a perfect destination for a day outing from Bangalore to just relax and enjoy the serenity that the hill station has to offer. There are good places to visit in Yelagiri as we explored few of them and missed few of them as it was a day visit. We also covered Ambur while on our return to Bangalore. Ambur is famous for the biryani and to our surprise it also has leather factory, so you will have the opportunity to buy some good jackets, shoes and bags. A good weekend gate away from Bangalore to explore.

Confused abt Ambur Biryani, if going from Bangalore...do we need to cross Yelagiri and go further 30 kms? Bcoz Google shows the same. And return back for Yelagiri hills. Pls let me know. Thanks

Yes we took the basic ticket which is 300/-, you can play with birds 😊

You can try in Ambur, it's around 30 mins.. we didn't find any place in Yelagiri 🙂
Can we go in April month?
The climate is too hot to bare, so better to avoid for a few months.

Indeed, it has nothing much to offer. Yet felt peaceful and has its charm and Vibe of that hill station. So one time traveling to this place won't hurt much
