Damn right. Mine's almost at 298k and I've never had an issue with the motor... well it's on its fourth water-pump but other than that LOL
Needs a lot of other work but it's 22 years old and almost 300,000 miles. If I didn't drive it as much as I do it probably Fall Apart

My buddy in high school had one of these. It was unstoppable.
Love my v8 ZJ. Spends more time parked and broken than driven though lol. Time and $$ for them toys. I LOVE the rumble from my exhaust.
That was me when I 1st started off roading, pedal to the metal and replace parts left and right. Makes for cool video. Now I just lower the tire pressure and go slow and steady, I pass up guys like this on the side of the trail broke down.
I was just saying the same. Why are they abusing that Jeep like that?
Some people like to off-road safely without risking parts breaking and some people like to off-road to go hard like this. Depends on the person and how much money they have to spend
If Jeeps break so easily, go buy a 10th Gen 5.4 4x4 F150 and beat the snot out of it.... And then drive home like a boss 🦾🦾
I miss my 95 jeep, Had to let it go in 2019. Had it from 06 to 2019. 5.2 V8 318 engine.
Looks like a blast to drive through those sections
Got my 94 grand Cherokee limited 5.2 from my uncle for 1$ about 3 years ago, only had 160,000 km on it when I got it and I’m almost at 190,000 now, absolutely love it goes places My truck can’t and best part of all is I can work on it myself. Have put about 4,000$ worth of work into but now at all because it was required only because I want to build it to be like new again.
I would much rather hear the V8 than that crappy music

Awesome ZJ! Don't see much of those getting love. I have a 98 Laredo 4.0L 4x4. I see yours has the older 8 slot grill. Makes me feel alot more confident in the capabilities of my ZJ once I get it built to where I want it

When you were going downhill on that lose material, we’re you in 4 lo? When I used to come down on steep inclines in the foothills / mountains in the high desert in California, I wouldn’t touch the brakes and go down in 4 lo so I wouldn’t slide. Just curious because I saw the wheels brake and the jeep slid.

Getting Kolak exhaust on my 5.2 ZJ this week. Doug Thorley headers, Magnaflow hi-flow cat, 3" piping to Flowmaster 70. Hope to get a video up on my channel soon.
What about the gas tank issue? Have you modified it at all? If not aren't you worried about piercing that tank? I just got one and I love it so much (2002) but I just now learned of the exploding gas tank issue.
UzeHerName we have not modified the gas tank, it works, and we drive „not normaly“ 🤣🤣
I've heard transmission aren't good in this , a neighbor of mine have one 1993 5.2 for sala rust bottom but starts fine

3'' lift and 32'' ? any mods with cardans.. Are the stock ones long enough? I can guess they are strong to the certain limit but your driving is to awesome to hold it together, ONE BIG LIKE SIR!

i have the 1996 grand cherokee lerado quadra trac and i just did a transmission and transfer case rebuild. all engine parts fixed and or replaced too. axles bearings. its like a new truck now. i wouldnt own nothing else in mylife.

You have the next to last year before Jeep seriously messed up and changed over to thinner piston skirts in '96....hold onto that ...don't overheat it and keep up on oil changes and you'll easily get 500,000 out of that engine..you have one of the true bullet proof 4.0 models..... even with P. skirt change many go over 300,000 before a skirt cracks...and mostly those are from high revving through mud pits....

My zj stalls anytime it warms up and I slam on the gas but it idle and starts up just fine what could be wrong !?!?

This thing has been killing me for months now I already changed plugs, wires ,distributor, fuel filter, alternator, tps,iac, breather, the other little thing on the other side of the engine some valve , the o2 sensor

Automatik natürlich. Die ZJ gibt es nur als Automatik.

@@morisegred4549 only the Diesel ZJ have Manual Transmission. The V8 only have autimatic Transmission.

Charlie M. I had my wife's car in the garage replacing the clutch. I left it parked in the driveway. They had to have pushed it away from the house... I can't imagine us sleeping through it starting up yanno? Idk, I guess that I did. I've never heard anything about the damned thing... On the bright side I did manage to find another one so I'm rolling again!

5.2 with headers and glass packs iv heard them 4.0 take off and it don't do nothing for me
The next gen SR5 after the ZJ outputted the same as a 4.0l ZJ. The 5.2s didn't last as long as the 4.0s, but I had a 318 in my Dakota as a firefighter, and it hauled ass. Blew the newer SR5 out of the water, except on longevity. Still, not expensive motors and repairs aren't usually as entailed. I'll be damned if I drive a Toyota off-road, if it ain't a rental. XD

if you plan on keeping stock axles I suggest you to get rid of those tires, way too much grip for stocker parts. get a set of KM2 and deflate to a proper value. you will see almost no difference (deep mud apart)

Zu dem Zeitpunkt war der Granny noch fast Serie. Spacer, größere Räder. Der Wahnsinn macht es aus :D
