Scalextric Porsche 991 STRIP & PREP

  • In this video I prepare a Scalextric Porsche 991 RSR for competition. This is a basic "blueprinting" race prep for a box-stock club racing class in the UK. The only parts swap is the addition of polyurethane rear tyres, where all other modifications are simply to tune the existing chassis for preferable performance.

    Hi thank you for making/doing this. Personally I would have benefited far more from this if there were close ups in the video of the areas of the car you were working on - before a change, sometimes during, and then after to show more clearly what and how the changes were made.

    Great videos. Question: What is the cleaning material called you are using for cleanup...? It sounds like "Blue-Tech"...? Thanks much.

    Hey Gary. Awesome video and tuning advice as always! Any chance you might be able to do a tuning video on the Scalextric Classic Mini (the modern builds)?…I’m finding it impossible to do! Lol

    I have that car and the matching one that came in the lemans set. Any ideas where I could get spare mirrors, spoiler, wiper, Ariel etc? I am struggling to locate them online anywhere :(

      Hi, I don’t know if any spares produced for this particular model. Scalex have been pretty dry with the spares offerings in recent years and have only just started offering bits and pieces again for their very latest models. Best suggestion would be to see if there’s some 3D print options on somewhere like Shapeways or Thingiverse. Thanks for watching!

    Hey great vid. I was wondering mine came with a teal motor is there anything special with this motor? 🤔 have you got any tips on making the E30 M3 PRC chassis work. I'm try to make a running mate for my slot it R32 skyline.

    • @slotcarazing
      @slotcarazing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have seen a couple of those teal coloured motors but no in anything I own, so can’t offer any insight there.
      The PCR chassis are pretty good, excellent value, best tip would probably be to spend some time setting the front axel at the correct height. You might struggle with the E30 because it’s a very narrow model but using the PCR will definitely get the most out of it. Enjoy!
