- This is my first time hearing Black Tie, and wow, this was an epic performance. Can definitely see this song in a Movie, someone give Jeff Satur a Grammy for this one XD

Jeff has no specific type of genre when he's creating his song,it's just his own style a unique one,and he master that.and i'm proud of him.TYSM for this react,and pls,do more.
Unique own style? He said this was actually heavily inspired by Imagine Dragons - Believer you can definitely hear it though, even down to how he sings some of the lyrics here
basically this song is about society standards and especially with him being in the industry there's a certain way you're supposed to act. the 'black tie' showing how you're supposed to be a sophisticated person and do what they tell you. just be quiet. and here he's breaking free from that with "im on the other side" and saying i am in my black tie but the black tie is not the version you want it to be. its fun and how i want it to be.
If you want more of him I would suggest Dum Dum, Stranger, Complicated, Lucid, Fade, and Steal the Show. I was into Thai artist a long while before I was into Korean artist but Jeff became my favorite Thai artist as soon as I found him 3 years ago. He is just an amazingly talented and self producing artist

jeff is amazing. he really can't be put into a genre. hes just jeff. he composed wrote produced mixed this song all by himself just like he does for most of his songs. i really recommend checking out his song called 'dum dum'. its so incredible. both original and unchained live version.
I concur Dum Dum, for sure. But I believe Fade is his most recognizable song as it certainly has the most views on YT. He did 3 versions, original in Thai, English and recently Mandarin version. FUN Fact: Everything he wore for Black Tie MV was designed specifically for him courtesy of Valentino. It’s the first collaboration that Valentino designed for an artist specifically.

also yeah, the production was INSANE on this one. but what else is to be expected from Jeff Satur. his talent never dissappoints.

All of his songs are masterpieces. One of his piece, Dum Dum, is also great. Especially the LIVE version, you should check it out. Anyway the cool thing about this MV is that all the costumes were specifically customized by Valentino just for him.
Each Jeff song is beautiful, the lyrics are very meaningful, I recommend Complicated (my favorite), Fade and DumDum (official mv and the unchained version), thank you for you reaction 😊

So for what I understand of the symbolism of the Black Tie and for Jeff's live is when you are moulded by society to be a certain way, eliminating or repressing what you once were that didn't fit with society's view of you...

Thought I was the only one who was confused with the lyrics, surely it's meant to be methaporical but this one felt too metaphorical to the point I was questioning things. Like what actually happened when he was seven years old lmfao. great stuff as you've said tho

Unfortunately, the Grammys only use Asian singers to gain an audience and keep them until the end of the awards show, but when it comes to awarding them, nothing happens. because for them only western music deserves it. 😠
