*I want to know... after seeing this behind the scenes, what are your thoughts on the Core Ice / Core RV / Core Pro Trailers? It definitely gave me a new appreciation for the effort and quality that goes into them. Have you had any experiences with these trailers? Or did this insight change your perspective?*
My buddy’s dad bought one a couple years ago. I didn’t like how it seemed like I was in a dr office. It was set up kind of weird as well. I will say this though…… he hasn’t had one issue, unlike my ice castle interior falling apart. Or my other buddy’s yetti electrical problem’s.
Cool behind the scenes. You should get ahold of Chris at Polar fox outdoors. They have some very cool skid and wheel houses. Super smart lay outs, light weight, and all the bells and whistles.
Yeah I've seen them, they look like they took a lot of inspiration from Core and then started changing a few things up outside of that. I know them more so for their skid shacks from the last few years then the wheel houses which look like they are new to them this year
Cool video, I like the idea behind the CORE houses, I'm just not a fan of the interior options. I feel like I am in an MRI machine when I am in one. They have their own following and I'm glad they do. I like the cabin feeling of my home built fish house. I spend too much time in doctors offices and MRI machines with my brain cancer, so I am biased.
Oh dang Bill sorry to hear about your cancer. 😕 I will say, yes a few years ago I felt EXACTLY the same way as you on how they looked, now they have so many options with the wood grain flooring and the different cabinets and wall panel colors, tons of options and when you start accessorizing and hanging things it really starts coming together nicely in the models I've seen. Much better than just a couple years ago. For sure not a cabin vibe though like you said (as they don't use any wood in their builds), which I get too, as my build I did a couple years ago was all pine tongue and groove inside and I loved it for what it was. Options are nice, pros and cons to everything! Appreciate the comment and your thoughts!!
Super cool build process! I really like the forward-thinking they put into it.. wish I had seen this process before I built mine for ideas. My only gripe: The wood grain isn't the same direction in that bathroom, for a 50k-70k trailer, that would drive my OCD nuts.
Ahh, I didn't notice that, now I can't unsee it lol 😂 I wonder if there is a specific reason they did that? As the floor grain is actual ridges to give you traction, the rest of the trailer makes sense so it is more traction when driving in and out, not sure about over the holding tanks on the raised floor, maybe for getting out of the shower? Lol Good eye!
@@AlexTimm guessing it’s how the best use their supply to reduce scrap. But holy heck is it distracting. Excited to see you use your core this year, finally finished by 8x16 yetti build. (Deets on Fish House Fab page)
It's definitely a premium priced product, but I do like that you can get all 4 seasons out of them and you know it will last. A base model or shell that people can customize themselves could be interesting to allow a more budget friendly entry point though

What brand of solar panels are on the roof?
Sounds like Merlin or in some special cases Renogy is what they use for the panels
