Grew up going to this and Short Hills malls in early 2000s. Both have changed so much, one for worse and one for better. It's kinda crazy. Also grew up walking into downtown Millburn from school every Friday. THOSE were the days. We may have had cellphones, but we were not glued to them.
Sad I had so many good times, Managed Kay Bee Toys, GNC upper level and Nature Food Centres. So many memories and Maggie's Pub is long gone as well. Glad I lived through these great times. Through the Cabbage Patch Craze.
I work in that mall and it’s more dead than ever. The Burger King in the food court has closed down and so has the Zaaki’s. I barely see people walking around in there anymore.
The Livingston mall isn’t really a dead mall it’s struggling a bit but not dead. However about 15 minutes away is the valley plaza mall in Irvington which is really dead with only a couple tenants.
Overall as a mall its not really that dead but the biggest stores like Barnes and Noble are the least busy which really doesn't add up. The food court is always pretty busy though. I remember it used to be much busier though, but its getting to be a little more busy than it was which is good
I've revisited this mall recently and it has definitely picked up. But I would say that this mall is in danger of dying with two vacant anchors. I really like this mall and I love the small businesses they're bringing in to fill the spaces
