I remember having a copy of The Wall on good old cassette tape.... LOL.... I must have played "Young Lust" a million times and driven my college roommate nuts! LOL!!!
yes, totally analog crazy...I have a 2nd gen master of The Wall, unreal!!! I also have other 2nd gen tapes of Pink Floyd, Dark Side Of The Moon at 15ips 2 track totally stunning, also Quadraphonic - Wish You Were Here - from a 15ips 2nd gen tape, ah, I hear you say there isn't one, yes there is...very different than the stereo version... th-cam.com/video/8Dk3E-yx9NM/w-d-xo.html
This deck is designed for studio use but could be used for home hifi recording and listening. Its a half track deck so you wouldn't be able to listen to prerecorded 1/4 track stuff, that would be the only issue but, if you plan to do all your own recording, yes this would be a good machine for that. There are other decks like the Otari MX5050 Biii 2 that are designed for studio use but some use for home hifi stuff, because they sound much better than your standard 1/4 track machines.

Tascam 32 and Tascam 42B such very good reel to reel decks...
So crazy to hear Floyd coming off a reel to reel!
When The Wall was released in 1979, that was the format you would copy it on, reel to reel decks. Or cassette's maybe.

It looks like you recorded at 15 ips. I believe the machine is 7.5 and 15 ips. Very nice.
Hey would this be a good machine for home hifi use, for instance recording records to tape for playback etc etc ?
