Hey cottage core community: do you think as a cottagecore person, can we still do hard workouts or like like to wear hoodies and not cottagecore like clothes a lot of the time and still be cottage core?
cottagecore is more of the idea of being appreciative of nature and romanticizing a connection with it- its only the other people who may add other aspects like “being a goblin” or dressing like forest faeries. you can wear whatever you want and still be a cottagecore folk! you can use regular clothes with botanical designs, etc.!
Absolutely! There are all kinds of cottagecore variants as well such as goblincore, faerycore, corvidcore, and even cottagegore (which I think is more of a goth and horror themed aesthetic). You don't have to follow a dogma to fit into the aesthetic or community, its all about your attitude and relationship to the world around you. You do you :)

I made a cake yesterday and it was SO goddamn ugly because my buttercream didn’t have enough structure (I didn’t want to add more sugar because then it would be too sweet) but it was ok because it tasted delicious

We ended up baking another cake for the party(that came out perfect) but we made a really fun memory out of a mistake!
How to identify specific mushrooms! Ringless honeys: this species has many lookalikes, some which are poisonus or deadly. This is not a beginners mushroom. The best way to find out is doing a spore print on black and white paper! Genuine ringless honeys will have a white spore print, while ones like the sulphur tuft or the deadly galerina have dark brown to purple spore prints. Other identifiable things about ringless honeys are them of course having no ring around the stem/cap, being connected at the base, darker centers of the cap that are almost feathered/tuft/scaly, the gills being forked and about far away enough as another gill could fit perfectly in the middle of the two and a small-to-medium but not too large sized cap. The gills can be from pinkish to white and sometimes as they get older the gills become almost brownish. These mushrooms are very common, but be weary! Sometimes they are infested with insects. Chicken of the woods: these are pretty easy to find. Orange in color, poures, grows on trees in the summer and fall and no exact lookalikes! These resemble the taste and texture of chicken, hence the name. These are not hen of the woods though! Hen of the woods are different, and chicken of the woods should not be called hen of the woods to avoid confusion. These are a great mushroom for beginners as they are easy to find and have almost no look-a-likes. Lion’s mane: these are also easy-ish to find. These again have barely any to none exact look-a-likes and are pretty tasty! Sometimes used as a meat subsitute. These usually grow higher up in trees, so look above! The white, soft flesh and the little soft spikes that hang down make it look very distinguishable. But when found when the spines are peach to orange-brown, best not to eat it as it won’t last as long on shelf and is also older, so it’s best found young. Chanterelle: I doubt you haven’t heard of these. Tasty and fancy. Their orange-yellow to darker orange hues make them distinguishable, and there are some other traits to look out for. Some are the fact they smell sweet, similar to apricots. They are yellow to orange in hue and do not connect at the stems. They don’t have true gills and the “gills” fork. The gills also go a little down the stem. Morels: I doubt you haven’t heard of these either. These also have some but not many lookalikes, one including the false morel. The way to distinguish them is that genuine morels look more like honeycombs than false morels, which look more wrinkly like brains, and genuine morels are hollow unlike false morels which false ones aren’t completley hollow. Morels do not connect at the stem. Happy hunting!

I recommend cream cheese frosting bc it’s not as sweet and (personally) it tastes better than buttercream :)
