Excellent review, and I agree Himiway makes good stuff. I love the rear suspension, and the alloy wheels eliminate the need for spoke maintenance. I second the shoutout to Detroit Moped Works: It's a great place I've been to multiple times, and I wish I could have bought my bike there.
@@RunPlayBack That would be cool, and full suspension would be a plus for fast riding. The drawback is the motor casing is part of the wheel, and would need to be swapped.

Sorry for my broken english (I'm from Germany, so no nativ speaker): I found a reviewer saying in cold temperatures (< 30°F) the front suspension doesn't work anymore. May I ask if you know anything about this issue and if you've heard from other customers about it too? Also do you know how hard it is to replace the suspension with a better one? Can you do that as a normal guy or do you think this is a job for a bike shop? Thanks! :)
Unfortunately no, I'm about 5'5" and my feet won't touch the ground, you would have to stop the bike and position yourself in front of the seat which is why the step through makes it more accessible.
Thanks for that info. One seller told me that the seat height was 28 inches cos he knew how tall I was. Misinformation/ lies to get me to buy the bike! Thats why reviews like this will always be invaluable to e bike purchasers. Buyers should always check the specifications before parting with their hard earned cash and watch lots of impartial reviews like this one. Many thanks
They are fairly similar bikes, both are step throughs with 20x4 fat tires. The Big Dog is $200 more, but also bigger battery (more range), and weighs 13lbs less, but no rear suspension. Can't go wrong with either choice. If you are looking for more range per charge, then the Big Dog will be a better choice. But if you want more comfort, then it's the Escape Pro.
Good bike, however Himiway support is the worst ever, they duped me for $109.00 for a Smart Display ordered same time as the bike. Come to find out they sent a bike wasn't compatible with the display. The display never arrived, the charge to my card made it through without a problem. Refund??? Smart Display sold to stupid customer, hahaha, one up for Himiway! Buy a Magicycle, be smart.

Every smart buyer knows "customer support" based in China is a JOKE, always has been, always will. Why? Magicycle is no different. *Until they get a US outlet which some of them are starting to do, contact them locally or go in person. Otherwise ZIP IT! The battery seem insane on mine…I went 30km all throttle and lose 1 bar

I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the suspension felt. Definitely a solid bike in this class.

Don't see why not, most of those child seats are universal, but you may need to mod a little to get a perfect fitment.
