Day 2 Part 1 of 18 days across Newfoundland in our Yamaha RMAX1000

Day 2 (part 1). We travelled from Hillside Cabins in South River to Jimmy's B&B in Bay De Verde, 130kms. I broke day 2 into two parts so I could show all the trails we were on, some of it at 4x speed to fit it all in. I would have liked to have gotten even more video as there is not nearly as much info going east from Placentia Junction as there is going west, so I hope this helps out a bit.

Great stuff! I have to ask, what made you decide to go all the way up to Bay de Verde? Most people don't go that way! Thanks for posting these videos btw!

We figured if we are going to put in the time and planning of getting out there, (we live south of Ottawa), we might as well see more and spend more time there. Most people getting of the ferry in Argentia turn west at Placentia Junction, so we just decided to head towards St Johns first, and then backtrack and head west. After some research and finding some very helpful folks through a couple of facebook groups, it looked like the route up to Bay De Verde would be fun, and the trails heading that way have had a lot of work done to them the last few years. We are glad we did, it is beautiful country up there and we loved the towns and villages up, (sorry, "down") there. 18 days gave us lots of time to do all this, we can't wait to get back there.
