- Hi, Thanks for Hanging Out!
In this video I share with you the process to clean and refurbish this bandsaw I picked up at auction. At the time I didn't realise the drive belt was missing and just thought it needed a good clean, so I bought it. Getting the belt wasn't straightforward, but I managed to get one locally after some digging around.
The biggest transformation was the table that I got rejuvenated back to a great finish and with a coat of wax, it's nice and slick.
This is a mass produced bandsaw sold under many different brands and the local brand here in Australia don't sell parts directly which made finding the belt a little more difficult. But I'm really happy with the overall quality of the build, there's enough to adjust to get it dialed in perfectly and I was happy with the cut quality. It's at the larger end of hobby bandsaws and I have a small but difficult job to do, that this should do well.
I hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching. If you have any questions or comments, please leave those below.

Hi, Thanks for Hanging Out! I picked up this bandsaw cheap at auction and once I started to work on it, I found out why . . . no drive belt. Being imported, the drive belt wasn't very easy to find, but I managed to track one down and get it ordered in. The biggest transformation was the table, which turned out great. What was your favourite bit?
I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching 👍
Good afternoon sir! I have the same bandsaw but branded as a House of Tools here in Canada. I bought this saw about a year ago and the bottom blade guides are missing. Could you take photos of the bottom and top guides. The top guides on my saw are a bit different, but I like the ones on your saw.
I would like to rebuild mine to what you have there.
Thanks Gerhard
Do you now if I can private message you my email address for the photos?
Hi Gerhard, thanks for watching and for the question, I'd be happy to take some photos of the guides for you. If you Email me at heftyjester@gmail.com I'll reply with the photo's attached.
Cheers 👍
