The guy's an absolute beast of a storyteller. How can someone possibly make so many masterpieces in their lifetime is beyond my understanding!! And great video my guy.

If you look back at his previous works you wouldn't believe this man who created Monster and 20th century boys is the same man who created Yawara!! and Happy! about female sport leads stories and romance! I was surprised after I finished reading Happy! it was so beautiful and the romance was so sweet and made my heart shattered at the end but I loved it.
How Urasawa shift from sport romance to mystery psychological thriller! and how he has multiple mangas and stories in his portfolio and he keeps going, changing his protagonists from female to male and how he gives them a personality! what a wonderful mangaka, that's why he is my favorite alongside Takehiko Inoue!

Urasawa is insanely talented. The quality of Monster and 20th Century Boys is crazy. What's crazier is that he was working on them and releasing chapters at the same time. Once Monster finished, he was doing 20th Century Boys alongside Pluto. So far, Asadora is the only manga he's done that hasn't been juggled with another.

Urasawa is my pick for greatest mangaka of all time. No one else has been more consistent at such a high level. it's just classic after classic with him.

Bruh Tezuka Osamu is the Co-Author of Pluto, because Naoki Urasawa based Pluto on the "The Greatest Robot on Earth" of Astro Boy. He took the characters and put his own twist on the story and created something new, while still paying respect to the original work of Tezuka.

    Itterasshai Toriyama Sensei 🕊
Thanks to everything Sensei, I want to share with you my gratitude upon learning about the passing of the legendary Akira Toriyama, it's a moment that has stirred a mix of emotions and I felt compelled to express my appreciation for the immense impact he had on redefining the Shonen Genre by creating Dragon Ball he left an indelible mark on countless hearts, mine included growing up Dragon Ball was more than just an animated series, it's a source of inspiration, teaching valuable lessons about friendship, determination, discipline and the constant pursuit of self improvement, the entire adventure of Goku and his allies became a part of my journey and I'm grateful for that, it shapes the Big Three of Shonen, without Dragon Ball they don't even exist, thank you Toriyama for making my childhood special.
May the GOAT Rest In Peace.

In drawing, the most consistent manga/webtoon is The child of the sheath I think. He’s drawer is really unpopular and it’s sad because I think he can easily be compared to the drawer of vagabond or berserk etc.

No yawara love. Its his first work to be adapted to anime, so i think it is arguably the breakout work. Is it a masterpiece in suspense and mystery box storytelling like his later works? No, but it allowed him to continue in the seinen genre

That's him, that's not what you said, he's better, a great story about a girl not wanting to be special, wanting to be like everyone else, whoever makes this just the stepping stone to what people idolize is mistaken, this is very much the vision of a group of people who love Seinen and ignore demographics that even pave the way and make even more mature many times.

I disagree, Astro Boy is darker than people think, yes Urasawa makes a police drama within that Atom cosmos, but the theme is there and as strong and peaceful and I would say messages as in Pluto, both thinking about children (robots and humans), as the hope of the world.

  • @broye_art45

reading "the greatest robot on earth" makes pluto a lot more impressive than it already is, just in case u haven't read it.

    • @giulyanoviniciussanssilva2947
      @giulyanoviniciussanssilva2947 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

For me, it shows that they only read Pluto and thought of it as the version that makes Astro Boy mature. Urasawa himself he said, that the themes and weights are there, the seriousness and maturity he made, in my opinion, his contemporary reading of something already current for his time and today.

Unfortunately the great authors have limited fans.
Limited in comparisons to define something so inhumane as the best in a diverse world of narratives.

    • @S3rkist

Just because they are mainstream they are bad? One piece has some of the best worldbuilding and storytelling in fiction. Disrespecting artist like Oda just because you think "darker is better" is ridiculous. People literally put One piece is some of the best fantasy works in history such as Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and J.R.R Tolkien's world(Middle-Earth) and much more. What makes it even more impressive is that Oda is able to keep up that consistency with such a long running story. Most stories as long as One piece never tend to stay as good. S He makes good use of foreshadowing, backstory, worldbuilding, details, lore, etc. He is able to connect plot points dating from the very beginning of his story and tie them in seamlessly. How many authors or mangaka's do you see what Oda is doing and able to keep their story relevant, not many. Show some respect to author like Oda. One piece is battle Shonen, but is also more than that, and he shows with his writing. You seeing more blood and guts doesn't make the stories you read better.

Am i the only one who doesn't understand Monster or what? i just think it's overrated. like every side character has absolutely no depth, you see them and after 3 or 5 episode they disapper and no coming back. also in my opinion works that gives more questions than answers at the end are not good enough

Cap. Monster sucked. I read it cause people wouldn't stop singing praises about it. The only reason it has a high score is because of the bandwagon effect.
Full of people who can't think for themselves. lol And that's how we know we're watching a mid youtuber, too! A yt-er is singing praises abt monster? Trash.
    21st cen though... Now that's a masterpiece!
