*18 Sep: Necrotic Wake and Dawnbreaker Routes updated to reflect latest Blizzard changes regarding count (they nerfed count for NW on launch of S1 M+)* latest strings via links in description.
Hey Quazii, can you update these with mechanics like weapons in NW? Mark them and stuff, I have hard time remembering every of them, maybe add a mark there, I've seen other people do it.
I want to thank Quazii and blizzard for giving us some significant tools for being more comfortable with routing now. throwing this video on while going through each new dungeon as a follower dungeon and going back to the old dungeons to see the routing and get comfortable with packs really takes out the anxiety of pugging. The community appreciates your hard work!

Wow, This video is actually legendary. You move through everything quickly with no fluff and still stopping to note the important kicks and things to watch out for, every M+ player should watch this
'By far the most linear dungeon' I can hear some orcs laughing on a train in another timeline. 😂 Btw, i love your videos and always learn something new from you, thanks for saving my runs
You are a legend! Watched all your masterclass videos for S1 yesterday. Since I haven't played previous expansions I thought it would be nice if you pulled up the map and gave us a view of the dungeon and the basic routing of the instance.
Great video, as always. One minor correction if I could. In Dawnbreaker, the trash with the boss in pull 4 are actually the mobs on the front steps. The red and yellow mobs(Pulls 3&5) are actually inside the BACK of the church. I'm not sure if they would be better or worse than fighting anything around the outside of the church as far as count or difficulty goes (this would mean fighting the 'camera boss' while inside the church), but I figured this was worth mentioning.
You can land in the back of the church and there is more than enough room to not get camera'd. Count in this dungeon is really just a flavor thing tho.
Necrotic Wake was updated to require a lot more percent. Was on cruise control on a +2 and finished the last boss with 80% or so done. Probably need to pull the packs in the middle of the 1st boss' room after the 1st boss kill, then the necromancer that is to the left of the bridge after the Marauder double pull, and the Marauder pull before the Monstrosity.
just had this happen to me glad to see I was not imagining things. Followed the route to a T and then had to go back and clear like almost the entire first area
From what i could tell doing Dawnbreaker today, the 2nd boss wasn't even pullable until the big mobs around the city had been dealt with, and he'd been moved to under a bridge near the inn
@@Obsolete386 best straight I have seen for fighting the 2nd boss is to kill the captain at the entrance and fight the boss over there. It gives plenty of space while not having to worry about pulling extra adds.
Dawnbreaker, in my opinion, has a poor Design. Dragonriding in Dungeons doesnt feels smooth and takes away the flow of the dungeons. Its cool we have it outdoor, but it should not be a mechanic in those runs.
@@moti6151 you can use steady flying in Dawnbreaker btw - i don't love dragonflying in dungeons for a variety of reasons, but steady flying made DB much easier for me, especially around the first boss
Many of these pulls are simply too large for most PUGs. Still a good video, but at lower keys you’re going to wipe following this unless you’ve got a pro healer and DPS that are on top of interrupts…which is usually not the case lol
Quick note on Pull 11 in City of Threads (before Coaglamation boss): don’t include the little blobs. It’s pretty easy to accidentally AoE them down while you’re still killing the hallway mobs and start the boss fight. Just happened in my key and nearly wiped us, somehow survived. It’s not worth the extra 5 seconds it saves you.
I don't know if it is because I ran a lower difficulty. However, the necrotic wake I just ran we basically had to pull the entire dungeon to get count. I ran the route you had even killing a bit extra by accident and we were 5% short.
Hey Quazii, I ran your CoT route just a couple minutes ago and discovered that it's not a 100% route. Unsure if something changed, but I was 3.10% short. Had to pull a couple of the caster guys in the hallway following last boss to complete it. EDIT: For clarities sake, in MDT it shows the count as 100%, but when I ran it as listed it did not give that percent.
Yeah, the first pull in AraKara is the funniest, every time I go down the stairs and charge my mobs with it, the healer throws me some heal, so everything charges up on him, he dies, eventually the hungry dps is already bombing and dies too. #TankLife
Its called mythicdungeontools on curseforge, you have script in description that you can import into that addon that way you can see it like how he shows in the video here
Spell reflect. Spell block. Demo shout. Disrupting shout. Shockwave. Intimidating shout. Pummel. Storm bolt. Prot warrior has a near unlimited capacity to deal with casters right now. Just keep ignore pain up.
@@TheSoulGambit Was more talking about gathering them up so it's easier for the DPS to deal with. I just realized Disrupting shout is an AOE interrupt and not just an AOE taunt. Imagine reading abilities 😅 Thanks.
Queation plz: newbie here to WoW. Just got my first character to 80. Specced as Blood DK and want to tank. But everyone in the guild I've joined seems to be discouraging me from tanking. Saying things like - its too much to learn, to many responsibilities etc. and that i should switch to dps before tanking. Whats your opinion plz
For the dawnbreaker, why not kill the enemies in the courtyard near the 2nd boss instead of the ones in the church for %? Pugs are likely to pull there anyway.
Yo so I’m sick of struggling to get into groups because all anybody wants is a tank so YAY I’m maining tank for the first expac/season ever! Thing I’m struggling with is when to pop cds, is the idea to kinda chain them together and always have one running one after the other or am I supposed to be tanky enough with just minor mitigation(shield of the righteous in my case) and to only use cds during intense dmg overlaps and tank busters? Assuming a lot of this is gonna come down to experience in whatever keys/packs I’m fighting but what’s kinda the general rule? Keep one rolling always or save for big smacks?
As a tank the routes are by far the hardest thing to master. Your cooldowns and survivability will come naturally. Depends on your class but I only use defensive CDs when my health gets to 50% or below. There’s no reason to use defensive CDs just to keep them on CD imo.
We're 30 seconds in and you've already wiped my pugs. "Pull everything to the boss" LOL. *Especially* on the first pulls of the dungeon, for criminy sake tanks, *don't pull like a crazy person.* Start slow, gauge what your group can keep up with, and pick up the pace gradually . -signed, someone who just got keystone mastery pugging as a healer Still, particularly Dawnbreaker's nonlinearity is why I came here. *What is the name of this addon that maps out all the trash packs?* It seems particularly useful for M+ tanking but I've never heard of it.
sorry @quaziiwow, but if u drop down to the blank way /"horde startpoint" ,...than u have to player other groups you taged or do i totally missread the map? i guess u mixed up the masterclass and Pug Route, where u go upstairs ^^
These pulls seem kinda big for low key pug healers? is this viable to do with low key pugs? and are the routes up to date? What straight away tells me this is going to get people to blame the tank on wipes is the pulls where you pull a pack together with the boss. Bro most people got issues doing a boss right let alone with a pack.
Just STOP using that MDT addon. Use some real in game recording / screenshots and let us see the mob packs. A 5 years old can do what you do there on that addon, a talking head to a map. Make your videos useful if you want to actually help players and not just show us data from Keystone guru.

Thank you so much!
The new route has the gatekeepers, and I got kicked from my group for pulling them. thanks i guess...
the nerfs are quite annoying, and not very M+ appropriate for necro wake. You're basically forced to pull the whole dungeon now.
Hey Quazii, can you update these with mechanics like weapons in NW? Mark them and stuff, I have hard time remembering every of them, maybe add a mark there, I've seen other people do it.
You have gatekeepers in your route that deal insane damage

big thank you! Was waiting for this video :-D

Thank you, great guide
On nectrotic wake, after the 8 pack if you clear the left pack you can get another harpoon
3:50 - the one time I tried this I got booted to the bridge and stunned because I didn't have the pheromone from Xephitik yet.
Use a ranged pull spell and go back to 1st mob and your fine
@highgrade9 just tried this, absolutely works 💯

Legend TH-camr ❤
i think second boss on dawnbreaker is on the west side of that courtyard in live. just pull him to the bridge, its a perfect place to fight him.
Grim Batrol route fell short by 3%, had to backtrack and pull another pack, fwiw.
8:03 it's pretty weird that it's called bridge, as they are literally right next to the inn. Otherwise, great video
18:35 --- I went to check this on m0 and I couldn't open the door with max level TWW herbalism
Is this exclusive to m+?
It is currently bugged, only for herbalists, too!
@@MrPeteTheGamer I swear to god this expansion is still in beta.
The only reason people largely aren't complaining is because fundamentally it is good
Even for a straightforward route, that was a ton of info. I'm exhausted before even queuing up. Thanks for the info though!
followed the Necrotic wake route that was mentioned and only gives 83.43%. you think it's been tuned or just the addon miscalculating?
he uses an outdated map one of the packs doesn't even exist anymore
is there some sort of weak aura arrow or something you can download which shows route in game?

How do I deal with big caster pulls as a prot warrior. Should I always try and find a LOS or is there a strat I'm unaware of?
Use interupts, spell reflect and block and bring good dps.

No idea what pugs you running with but people start smacking shot before your charge has finished

Skip on Boralus fixed
